The Dow went up 100 pts in the Asian session and SPX was up 8 handles......now both have retraced ~50% of those moves, whilst Dax has not even retraced 38% of its move up from its close.

Now I don't see Dax doing much until SPX & Dow finish their retraces.

Also, today is Quadruple Witching in the US as Index Options & Futures expire during today's session. In addition there is the Alibaba IPO on the NYSE - likely to be the largest ever IPO and thus there should be plenty of action this afternoon, so I'll leave my long with SL +1 & TP +20 OCO and take the rest of the morning off

Ok, I see that many of you don't speak and maybe don't know what to do.

Then the following conditions:
Dax (on 30 min chart)
if open > 9893 -> long
if open < 9880 -> short

UK100 (on 30 min chart)
if open > 6859.5 -> long
if open < 6839 -> short

PS: But as I say.... only on open values

9856 is tough to break, but if it does there is nothing that can hold price till 9800.

Looks like some brokers have restricted trading on FDAX, not sure could it be Scottish Vote or Expiry

Yeah, today is just the usual black Friday --> contracts expiry day
If not done manually my broker freezes September future trades at 3pm Dubai time, which was 30 min. ago.

Thanks for your skilled posts on the DAX.
Nice to read although a bit too fast for me as I stand on longer timeframes.
What's your opinion on the gap left opened around the 9130/40 on the fdax ? Break or usual gap (which could be filled whenever there is a valid reason for consolidation) ?

Weeks ago in one of my posts I roughly estimated that a similar crash of 2011 august could happen around 2015 February-March period..

IMO, sooner or later all these gaps will be filled.

Thought I'd better clarify this earlier post. I was long on both Dax and Dow from yesterday, but looking at the Dow it has put in a very strong Weekly candle and both Dax and Dow had a bearish looking set up from H4 down. Where we go to if we keep falling is anyone's guess, but I don't see a big sell off, perhaps down to 17,000 on the Dow, which on my charts is the 4 hourly ma200 exponential which provided support on Sept 15/16th, and on the Dax 9,580 or so, which again is the H4 200e. For today support levels I'm watching 9,773 on the Dax, then 9,729, 15m and 30m 200 exponentials respectively. All depends whether New York wants to accelerate the selling or bring it up again, though if the latter, I'd be very surprised to see new highs today. Good weekend all.
