The shittiest dax components at the moment: Lufthansa and Beiersdorf.. these two are keeping Dax from rising the most..

hmmm... Lufthansa and Beiersdorf are really small in terms of market capitalization and lightwheights of the dax. i think thereīs another reason...

yes, i know that site - but i canīt see why a small component with an indexweight of 0,9% like lufthansa should have an high impact to the index itself? vice versa i think dax is driven by bayer today +5,2% and a weight of 10,58%.

hi
I am new to this thread, but have been following you guys for a short while
I am very new to cfd trading. I've always traded forex but so far have lost
everything on both forex as well as cfd trading.
Recently I got an email from the broker saying 'September cfd expiry dates'
mentioning yesterday's date 17-09-2014.
Today 18th, my DAX prices have frozen about a couple of hours ago at
9682.5
What does this mean? I can see you guys are still trading .
Is this an issue with the broker, or the DAX ?

Yes that's true.. driven by Bayer.. but also let me correct myself after rechecking.. I should have say Siemens and Lufthansa actually.. yes Beiersdorf has small %.. sorry..

Hmm, actually looks like they froze yesterday night, not today.
So today theres been no price movement for DAX with my broker,
Is this right? and when can it start again and what of all the
trading opportunities that are being missed today?
Can someone please enlighten me on this 'expiry date' thing?

Simply: your broker has closed your trades automatically as soon as they expired..
