That is the Key in Basket Trading. If you can pick the right pairs in their group at the right session, then you have it nailed to say the least.

Hi guys,

I did another test for daily trading entry.

Early Asian session made final analysis based on previous supply and demand including trend strength.
As a result, I decided to trade on price reversal position which may reasonable for daily trade position.

made some homework on spreadsheet from previous data, final analysis and then setup offline chart for reverse entry.

Herewith screen shots attached for your immediate reference.

Thanks to my buddy Hukam who give me a big spot light of inspirations.

Hi Kopra,

Yes, with your determination on learning the best pairs to trade and what times, I think you will nail it very soon. Mostly when the markets start ranging as we all know, these are when pips are lost by novice traders. Keep up the good work as lots of us basket traders are following your progress and findings too. Your willingness to share is the spirit we all need.

i am not claiming our BTCS and Currency Heat Strength Map is the best way and tool to choose group pairs, but its works 80 to 99% if you do it correctly.
once again i would like to remind you its not basket, its fall in group pairs (random pairs strategy) and if you fail to do your home work you will loss your mind and loss your account.
whole story is posted here within in this thread, i personal take monthly and weekly strength to choose the pairs for grouping, we will also try the daily strength for this purpose.
if anybody have better ideas, suggestions, or if some one like to improve BTCS /Heat Map way of selections, he/she is welcome.
i will continue my posting related to basketing & grouping here, your new ideas and suggestion are warmly welcome here.

Do you purely pick pairs based on monthly, weekly and daily strength?
Do you use any others to verify?
How you filter your picks from above in order to create the final group pairs?
Please elaborate more so that we can learn from you.

group pairs selection is purely based on weekly, but keep an eye whats happening on monthly.
its very common say in forex intraday trend not effected the daily trend quickly, and daily trend not effected the weekly within a day.
that why we choose those pairs in which we have strongly confidence that they moving with same speed and in same direction (according to me its time,range,strength,correlation)

I'm done for today.

CS hit TSL and exit.
Win 424pips for the day.

Trade setup is daily trade...not by sessions.
I'm too old to catch up with sessions timing and this is my 4th attempt to test setup and make entry once per day.
I decided to reverse entry after checking immediate cs formation of selected pairs beside of the prepared spreadsheet data.

I have received relevant questions from a good friend here and i think his questions will answer the rational of the testing trade I've made today.

Pairs Selection:
1. How you pick up selected pairs out of all?
Supply Demand:
2. How you calculate s/d level percentage?
Trend Percentage:
3. How do calculate trend Percentage?
Trend/Entry:
4. How do you determine is either Up/Down or Buy/Sell?

I'm no good to explain properly in english and I will use images to support my explanations.

The trade setup are base on daily trade basis. It is not on session basis.

Answer:
1. Pair selection:
a. Check today's event and analyse the currencies.

b. Selection pairs with ref no.1 that gives you high Daily ATR index (1st filter).

c. Analyse with Heat Map as Hukam's method to filter currencies (2nd filter).

2/3/4. Supply & Demand Percentage, Trend Up & Down...
a. Use supply & demand percentage indicator(or buy & sell percentage indicator) which determine dominant trend.
This indi is lagging and still put an effort to find a good one. Use only the percentage buy/sell and current trend.
Don't take this as entry signal...you will end up at indian ocean.

b. Make spreadsheet layout for weekly, daily, h4,h1 & m15 and analyse the trend bias accordingly. Pls check spreadsheet sample below.
You may design the layout according to your needs and analysis overview.

c. simple calculation for trend% ie...calculate average of dominant trend (if 3 pair up trend, then calculate total up trend % devide by 3).
d. Analyze the whole spreadsheet data and decide which TF is consider could establish your trading basket.
e. You also can choose different TF for different group of pair. There is no specific TF for the whole group. It depend totally on what you see the whole picture.
f. once decided, pls check again pair by pair chart for final confirmation.
g. create trading basket at BT EA.
h. For me, I don't wait when to trade...I just make an entry and monitor the progress.

This only testing and if you have better suggestions, tools, retionalisation of this method, pls don't hesitate to share your ideas and opinion.

This is another trade specifically for GBP basket base on the above method.
Since GBP give good strengths, I purposely create this trading basket known as "My Backup Plan" in case anything happen to another trading basket.
