We may soon find Ata that your not going short / daily uptrend rule (which I think is very very wise by the way and would've netted far more than someone attempting short after short) might break?!

DOW holding 17k... sky is still up and blue

Of course dax will have long lasting bearish times like it did have in the past.. and on those of course I will be bearish too.. but for now, since I can't see clear sings of a big collapse I feel it is wise to stay bullish.. hehehe and I use a 5 meter long stick everytime I need to poke a bear..

not atm, running my experiment, and that is really time-killing (trade no. 145 actually). maybe tomorrow, maybe next week.

yes, i think itīs profitable. not every day, but in the long run the expectation value is positive.

That is true.

However, you do not stick to a rule of 1/3 risk reward as you move your stop all the time.So strictly the trades you conduct are not -10/+30

at the entry time it has this risk reward. i have my reasons for moving the stop. if you have another method, and itīs making money, itīs fine...

This is true, Is there any particular reason why you move the stop all the time? As you often miss out on the moves which would result in profit.I take it you have backtested both methods by leaving the -10 + 30, and then by moving the stop to breakeven once a certain profit is on the table??

with a moving stop, the number of losses is reduced. but clearly, also the number of +30 trades. the average outcome is smaller, but also the risk.
