Like you, I entered the "active" part of the forum recently (about 2 months ago), as I was reading all the pages of the forums by seller9 that preceded this one, and then thoroughly read the pages and watched the videos repeatedly before posting here at the present. The problem with that is I appear to be a late-comer to the party. I will give you my answers to your questions as best I can, now that you understand the source of reticence.

If you don't seem to receive responses to your questions (I see you haven't yet) ...then reverse-engineer, by looking at other people's charts. I see you've already taken that step to arrive at the HAS and IX0 settings that you posted. Seller9 was smart when he designed this BT trading system to display these parameters for everyone to see.

I would offer to provide you with these numbers but like you, I am in the same boat, and I just don't know yet. If I find a way of calculating them (maybe in a PDF manual somewhere) I will post them here. Please do the same if you get lucky and find some sort of recipe book for the numbers. Darran.

Thanks Rixon, I believe the spread, at the time, was the culprit. I queried the forum's search and discovered this was a big issue many months ago for other traders, at the time. I moved the spread value to 10 after calculating the ramifications of doing so, and it seems to be taking trades now.

I appreciate your input, but note for clarification that you based your assumption on the wrong chart. The trade should have taken place on the 4th chart, where the Spread values are Orange and White, not Red as on the 5th chart, which was taken 24 hours after the trade should have been placed. But note that "Largest Spread for the Session" number is 48, and my maximum was 28. Darran.

Hello All,

Does anyone really know what would happen if you simply "closed" one of the pairs in a basket? I mean, if you just closed the pair in MT4, not via the EA.

If I'm using Entry 0, with "Open on ix01 cross", and the cross has occurred more than 2 candles ago, I wonder if closing a pair (say, a non-performer) would mess up the EA since the offline chart was based on 7 specific pairs, and now one is missing. What do you think?

A. If you remember reading at #1st post page1 and go thru the BT EA tutorial vids prepared by seller9 (The Guru), you will notice that there are 9 types of ready made basket ie:
1. C14 Basket
2. C5 Basket
3. USD Basket
4. EUR Basket
5. GBP Basket
6. CAD Basket
7. JPY Basket
8. CHF Basket and
9. NZD Basket.

HAS, IXO1 and IXO2 are used as trend indis that act as your filters to make an appropriate entry. If you're looking at pages back here (reverse page), you will see another effort to create trading basket and we called it, Customized Trading Basket and they use BT EA to create offline charts for custom basket and the EA will control the trading progress. As for me, I would advise you to fully adapt to the "A" paragraph first rather than jumping into custom basket creation because this is only part of BT EA approach. Anyhow you're free to go thru everything in this thread and I hope you will success in your BT EA forex trading effort real soon.

Hi darranforex,

due to my understanding towards your question above.

if you want to close/exit one pair of a basket pairs, you may OFF first the 'R' button next to the 'Close' button. So you can close one pair manually without disrupting the auto trading in progress. You may ON back the 'R" button to trigger EA control.

If I turn the "R" for robot off next to the close button, then, how, specifically, would you close a pair? I mean, would you just go down to the pairs in MT4 and "x" one to close it, and then go back up to the "R" next to the close button and turn it back on?

This is a tough question, because clicking the "Close" button in the EA is a global function (even with the robot off). I wonder if this was ever brought up before? I can't find any history of this issue.

Oh, and the information in the post 5,285 is great, because a lot of people who downloaded the "Getting Started" zip file on page 1 just got up and running with the JPY7 video, and then forgot about the other basket notepad files. I know that's what happened to me, and then one day while setting up other baskets on my own, I went back and re-discovered those basket files. Unfortunately, they are just the pair-list text files, and there aren't any (except one, I think) template files or alternative time-frame settings for HAS, ix0, etc.

What does KopraTasa mean btw?

yes, you may click the 'x' close symbol or right click the pair you wish to close manually after you disable auto close by clicking off the 'R' button.
you can refer the Manual Close instruction in tutorial vids at post1 page1. so far I didn't see and experience any disturbances or EA disruption when I close manually. The purpose to use this function if certain pair(s) in a basket against your trading bias and will secure you from bigger losses. you can check my post at below link. I close GBPAUD manually and ON back auto close without disrupting the EA. I also did the same even with active filter setup and there is no handling issues.

Regarding the baskets text files.
I'm referring to previous zip file updates...not sure if the latest zip file only have JPY basket file. You can find all the basket I listed just now at your Basket Writer EA. All basket have been automized rather than basket text files update.

I'm sorry I don't know which video tutorial show how to close pair manually during BT EA in progress.
but I can assure you that this process is simple and safe as long you off the R button and exit pair manually after that.
this is a standard procedure, not my method to handle such situation.

I'm running 4 real live account and 6 demo account for my continuous study, practice and monitoring dashboard.
It is not easy but very interesting and challenging.

..first one compulsory Strong Vs Week pairs, best source BTCS or onda currency strength heat map.

Hi guys.

I am still testing analyze pairs with indices.

It give me green light to trade JPY7 basket.
Slow moving and not sure how far it can go.
Hopefully it hit the nearest resistance.

I didn't realize I have mistakenly click GBPAUD at basket writer and lazy to re-do.
just close this pair manually during entry...loss at spread.

I pick EURAUD FOR BUY AND AUDUSD/AUDCAD FOR SELL this morning.
method: using % change, look at D1,H4,H1 trend.
Let's see whether I'm in the right path.
