Hi Yesyesyes,

while back testing I noticed only one bar max repaint (4 currencies tested) and not that often.

You cannot backtest the ultratrend indicator because it is a repainting indicator. It has been addressed.

I just wish people like you would read the thread and stop asking questions that have been address over and over and over again. Take time to read the thread or at least use the search function. Nihilist has address this issue in great detail on one of his many post regarding this subject. Say YES to reading the thread.

Dear MKFX

when you say can not be back tested I don't quite follow. I run mt4 tester parallel with current chart where this indi is already installed. Then I start the tester (slow mode) and run. As the candle closes (4hrs) and the new one start I compare this with my non tester chart and see the differences ( did this with all ultra trend indis). I found occasions when the tester indi changed colour after candle close sometimes 2 candles later. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean

What I meant is that we had a signal one candle before your entry. I try to take signals as soon as they occur and usually I do not jump in later. If I miss the best entry then I better wait for retracement.

Can anyone tell me which HG template you are using at the moment, and also which one is most efficient (I know it is a personal preference).

If we were to follow the rules, we should not jump in on the signal candle but wait for it to close first.

For me, entry is always after candle close. No matter what system I use. Just in this case the best entry was 4 hours earlier.

See which ones suit you, I am using them with some of my own confirmation.

Have a look at Nihilists posts to see what he is using.
