24 hr chart every time. I don't touch charts that show a big void between close and open as all the moving averages are scewed. Looks like I was right, it could barely wait for the open and now it's 07.10 London time and we've punched right through the H4 200ema. What now though?

What now indeed. 1st there is a gap to fill.??
I am looking at a major ABC possibility. Not to say there could be more up to go.!!

@xiaoxin: itīs not important for the dax if london has a bank holiday or not.
if you will wait till the us session, you will miss the ifo - which IS important for the dax.

nearly every gap is getting closed as time goes by. in my point of view the answer is: downright yes. wait and stay alert, and then be quick when it comes in reach...

Us market indices are so strong… it's rather incredible. Without a doubt the strongest trends going on right now. Really thought we were going to 1850 area on s&p on that recent drop below 1900… and just like that we're making new highs again.

Agreed - IMO the speaches by both Yellen and Draghi at Jackson Hole have given the MMs an opportunity to move the markets in thin summer trading.....the S&P has just made a new ATH at 2000.30 on the cash, whereas the DAX has only got within a couple of points of the 50% retrace of its July sell off.

So there are only fib expansions above the 2000 level on the S&P, whilst next on the DAX is the 61.8 just above the important 9600 level.

Let's see what the US Session brings.....

My strategy for today ( on 30 min. basis)

if open > 9452.5 --> long
if open < 9427.5 --> short
The best thing that can happen to you is to find out where you're wrong.
