Its definitely not the wrong way to trade, but I think you will find if you take into account the D1 while you're trading H4 you will take better trades that last longer, it will also keep you out of even good crosses of the tdi that go nowhere. When I'm on H4 I only look at H1 to check if its likely to pullback much if I take the trade, for instance, if the H1 is on its 5-6 blue candle before the h4 signals then you want to be aware there might be a pullback and take that into account without being in a panic about it. If the D1 is not showing some sign of turning around eg. a candle pattern, tdi starting to turn, etc then I won't take the trade its as simple as that. Of course some people feel better taking into account just the 2 timeframes, the important thing is to look at the timeframe higher for guidance as to whether its likely to go very far as a trade.

To backtest you need to download the tdi-mtf-zz indicator that locks the position of the higher timeframe tdi at the close of every candle so you can see properly the position the higher timeframe tdi was in. I've attached it to this post but it can also be downloaded from the paperclip at the top of the page.

Thank you likica for making that clearer for MidnightRun I should have said 5-6 candles in that direction not blue candles

I always look at m15 because I find 30m too close to h1 being only 2 bars to make an h1 candle, but its a choice people have to make, if they are more comfortable looking at m30 then its up to the individual. I just took my lead from phx62 if its good enough for him then I figured how successful he is he is doing something right London session is usually good for h1 but as I can't stay in front of my computer all day at the moment I tend to only trade it when I have some time on my hands because it needs more watching than h4 and if I see a good signal while I'm sitting there I will take it whatever the session. You will find that when its very quiet there won't be a good angled cross to take anyway.

EURAUD/GBPAUD.....Both the pair now at swing point.....Time to watch how price react at this area....What kind of PA should we look for?

GBPAUD we see a Double Bottom.....In lower time frame may have some room to short....But for me there is no confirm trend...i will be at side bench..

found trade on 4h, tdi starting to cross downwards [sell]
drop down to 1h and tdi already crossed over, so i will take this trade, correct?

The Red line is not S/R line....it's the mt4 price line...I just marked with circle from where price swing previously....Previously price brooked that level..come back,test,and swing up...Now we are back at this level....

I remember a senior (not sure who it was) stating that he will not trade if the Green and Red line (of TDI) are in different direction ... Where as Grand Poopaw in his own words "I never care what Red line does ... Green is the most important line"
What is your take?
