I am trying to follow these rules...i got this from another thread...it looks like a lot of things to consider....but basic stuff.. if you practice it takes very little time...Order can be limit or market....Depends on the situation

Hi Guys,

Do pardon my ignorance. The original template has the TDI and Stoch indicator. However, the TDI only as a green and red line. Seems that the evolved strategy now has a pair of blue bands and a yellow line. May I know what those are and where can I download this indi?

Go to the input tab of the TDI. and colour the 1 and 3

I have a question for you. I downloaded TDI MTF indicator. Below the picture you can see how I understood trading under this indicator.

That moving average based indiator is his private indicator which he doesn't share with others. He never make trading decision based on that indi anyway. You won't need it. There are a huge number of other trend indicators for the same usage.

Very important post, thanks for bringing that back to the thread

I am trading 5 pairs ( EU/EJ/EA - GU?GJ ) and am happy I did choose those to trade, there's some nice correlation between hem that allows me to take benefit of them , at least in some occasions not all the time, for example, when looking to trade GJ, I can also look to trade GU in the same way if conditions are set to follow on both pairs.

Ok then if am looking to buy EA but EJ amm not looking in agreement to go up ie side way then the EA buy can fairly miserably fall of the wagon

Or if I want to short EA, I would be looking if conditions are okay to short EJ too

So on and so forth ....

Hope you don't mind me butting in Omonisha

Pipotron when you have metatrader running right click on your chart > indicators list > which will bring up an applet with TDI listed, notice the edit delete buttons, click the indicator then the edit button which will open the edit applet, click colors you should see numbered 1 -> 6 with colors or some with the word none, double click on the field the color is in which will bring a color-chart to the fore. If you can't see yellow on your chart when you load it onto your charts it means it is turned of in that field, just click on it and change it to yellow.

As to using the indicator you really need to go back to the start of the thread and read up on it there, eelfranz laid it out there when he started the thread, updating it when he needed to, that's where it all starts. Maybe the first 30 pages. I'd say also to play with MT4, learn what different things do, only way to learn I reckon.

Also Xaphod tells the original TDI does not work properly in mt4 build 600+, it's been reposted as TDI-sub by him here http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...83#post7301483
TDI sub only has the 3 main colors; red,green,yellow,

For the blue lines you mention they are in both TDI MTF and TDI-RT-clone. Not sure but think they may represent BB Bands. I don't use them. Turn them on or of in the same way, right click chart etc etc.

This is what I have found all the way through my trading, whatever system it is and whichever indicators you use to enter, the higher timeframes must be ready to turn around or its not going to go anywhere I think I posted it quite a few times now . Its the thought process that made me put the higher timeframe TDI on the chart but that way I'm still missing a lot of information, so I now have the charts separately and told myself not to be so lazy I actually now have 3 charts open for each currency, if I'm trading H1 then I look for a good cross on that timeframe, then I glance at m15 and H4 if they are all in agreement in some way then I take the trade. If H4 doesn't agree I stay out of the trade, if M15 has moved quite a way since its last cross and looks set for a pullback then I wait for that first. Phx62 has his charts in the same way, m15, h1 and h4 and only takes price action on H1 into account along with the cross or near cross of the TDI.

If you look at the images below, these are the kinds of things I look for. H1 cross and PA first, m15 is looking good with a lovely bounce up of the tdi along with being flat for quite a while, h4 pulled back from support, the next candle was a doji and the next candle is where I would go in (vertical line) along with a check mark reversal of the tdi on h4 its a no brainer.

If I'm trading h4 then I have h1, h4 and D1 open, the most important being the higher timeframe. I only look at the lower timeframe just in case it looks set for a pullback. For instance if there is what looks like a good trade on h4 but h1 has already moved 5 or 6 candles in that direction then I will usually wait for a pullback.

Yes this is exactly what I have been testing , its believing really what matters in this kind of trading that makes the difference in getting the results from TMS, I have never used to do this even you have mentioned that many times, didn't really understand it until recently exactly last week when the light bulb went on in regards for the importance of looking at the higher time frame H4, Daily and the lower time frame ie m15 to take the trade on H1, with this TMS you can be successful, without this , you will be faced with the circle that wont get you no where but under water

So from this week on, do what lasting well has shown above , try it as long as it takes, one day it will click in the subconsciousness and it will be second nature for your trading and before you take any trade, and the results will come later

i have now moved over to daily charts as it's easier for me to trade them I just wanted to ask when you guys trade daily charts what do you check besides the rules of this system do you check other time frames as well? What precautions do you take and what do u look out for

Thank you for sharing your experience and the way you look for trades, very interesting indeed.
Will try to do this from now on.
I ONLY trade on the 4H charts. I look for trades and enter them on the same 4H charts. Is this a wrong way to trade? Will my entry be too late if I didn't drop down the the 1H?
Is the TDI settings different for the 4H charts?
