my friend nocoolnick is still buying, and although the price may indeed spike upwards, the reality is we may see a nice long tail to the down side the moment the news is released. That is one of the dangers of catching the falling knife. You would then have to depend on news to get you back to break even (which in nocoolnicks case is about 20 pips from the current price.

That is why I have given up wagering on pivot bounces or past support and resistance counter trading, as it is 100% dicey. The reality is price action can cause it to break either way. If you guess correct then you end up in green 10 to 20 pips in a heartbeat, and you miss it then eu will slow play you into submission causing you to enter more trades once the PA slows down. I simpy wait for accumulation and then take my position from there. Atleast within accumulation i know what comes next is a breakout.

Althought the market has been super bull bias the last 2 months, One thing I have noticed is when using the method I have described to you is once on the 1hr you see that sentiment is shifting to the sell side, thats when the market gives us a breakout to the upside. I simply use that method once EU accumulates on the 15m tf.

So what you do is this. You go to the main page of forexfactory.
1) Find the POSITIONS AND LIVE ACCOUNT BOX
2) Click the little yellow folder which is under the DETAILS subsection
3) When the little graph pops up change the TF from DAILY to 1 hour

You will then have the following graph

You will then see over the last few hours the sentiment has began shifting to the SELL side now. Although it has done so at a very small rate, the reality is when that begins to happen you will see those sellers now become the bag holders.

Being my entry setup has yet to occur I am simply watching for now, but the reality is if we do spike up, the second the news is released, we should see a nice long move down, then the reversal to the upside within a few mins. That would get the sellers happy, and finish off the bias bulls, then turn the bulls into bears, and have the bears become the bag holders.

Well as i'm on the topic here, let's play this out. Yesterday I was thinking that we were only making a crack in the supportlevel of 3333 as we have been having a hard time getting down. So even before we went thru i had a plan to buy at 3305-3325 as i thought we would make a crack and then bounce and then return to the low and break it. When we landed at 3312-15 i noticed that we only halted and no wicks was produced, that keept me from going in with more longs and only 1/10 of a position. I put stops on and got stopped twice. Still, looking at the bigger picture i still had the feeling we would get tricked and bounce and enter a third time. At that time i am still medium term bearish, but we bounce all the time and i wanted that bounce and had a plan to enter short again higher. I even placed a but limit at 3295 before I left. Today we are lower, i have now bought 3 more positions and just a moment ago i added one more so now I'm averaging 3297. BUT i do all this with strict rules and tools to help me control risk.

As it is turning out right now, my outlook on my original tradeplan is not as optimistic as it was yesterday. Things change... and they do it both ways. If i'm in awinning trade, i can change my TP if I feel the situation has become better since i took the trade. The same goes if i'm wrong, First i was looking for 3340-3390, now i'm still looking at TPs as we go, my position may end in a loss if i feel we cant get higher than 3297 right now.

BUT i never average in on random. I Never martingale.. I hedge if i feel i need to, and i actually do that even with profittrades to get some of the pullbacks. I don't place any trade and hope i get lucky, hoping some news event will turn my trade. News only make noice, they don't turn trends. So my trade has to hold regardless of what news we have today or the rest of the week.

As of now, i see a breakout that has not been tested 3333 ish, a Daily pivot that have not been touched for two days, 3330 ish. A 4H chart showing oversold and signs of turning. Bullish divergence on 1H, but this could change to continuation if we dont get above the daily high, so it is not that strong yet. No bounce has been bigger than 20 pips for 72 trading hours, and we had that before when we hit 3284 and bounced to 3303 ish.. ALL these factors make me hold my longs in this bearish move, if the factors lose importance and i no longer can find any reason for some higher levels soon, then i will take my loss of aprx. 0,5%. and that is worst case scenario as of right now.

BUT as my friend here wants to point out, this can be dangerous and you should not do it if you don't have the discipline to master it and have a hard time taking losses. And i will most likely not publish any more trades when i'm doing this kind of trading, as i think many have a hard time understanding what and how i do it.

We could see extended to 3255/67 region somewhere
3290 was obvious. now 3312/17 protects bear interest in a first stage

Said Ill close before fomc, and i will if we get over 3330, targets for the remaining pos 326x

My yesterday's evening long hit the SL, now I'm sitting on a short with TP-13250 and a pending long at 13245 with TP-13315...let's se how this plays out :nerd:
