I have the following questions if anyone can shed some light please:

a. The method prescribed by Tah is one of position building - laying down the seeds based on PVSRA and hoping eventually the trades will materialize in our favour. The problem is that sometimes I see that trades have been entered weeks or months ago and thus awaiting for the net long or short positions to become profitable. How does one reconcile this with the fact that SWAP charges are continuously building up on a daily basis and soon adds up to perhaps 2 months worth of charges? This can have a major impact on the profit line.

b. How can this methodology be used to Scalp on a daily basis if we are planting the seeds for the future and bearing in mind that if some Forex Traders strictly follow Islamic Finance, SWAP charges are prohibited and that is why individuals who open an Islamic Account, the broker automatically closes their trade positions before 22:00 GMT on a daily basis?

I would appreciate any advice on these two points please.

It is made very clear in Post #1, and in the PVSRA posts in this thread, that the basis of the Sonic R. System is the Classic trade, and that Scout "situations" can occur before or during a Classic trade and are propositions of higher risk, and that PVSRA is a method of analysis, not an entry method.

How many times must this be said before you all get it clear into your thick minds?

The Scout is higher risk and can get you into problems. Position building can begin with a Classic trade - should begin with a Classic trade - but there are also times when traders start a trade at, or soon after, what they believe to be the "final" high or low as assessed on higher TF charts. This can get a trader into difficulty. The root of the problem is the greed factor. Traders want to get the jump on the "reversal" and believe they have PVSRA support for doing so. And it can all turn to shit because we cannot know how the price will move next. There are also those times during a Classic when the MMs Stop Hunt, taking the Classic into the red, but also presenting another "situation" for a Scout. Probably the best Scouts are those during a Classic that is experiencing a retrace/pullback and remains green.

Now, please try to remember all of that. Make your own trading decisions, and take your lumps.

For scalping, or as an alternative for getting an earlier entry, you can try the M5 TF. Just remember that Classic entries are only recommend during the London session because it is during the London Session that setups more accurately reflect the trend and run further, usually. I say "usually" because there can still be head fakes. And by dropping to the M5 and looking for setups, you won't be allowing the same time to see whether or not PA is actually transitioning from the MMs building to the MMs beginning a trend move.

So, for the umpteenth time, from position building to scalping.......
.......The M15 Classic setup in the London Session is the core of the Sonic R. System and PVSRA is an analysis method, and the safest application of the Scout is during a Classic that under retrace but remains green.

What is a "Scout" Trade? (Updated):

Sonicdeejay, in his own way and in a number of posts starting early in 2011, presented the concept of the SC or Scout trade. I suggest you read his posts directly, but here is a summary.

Scout Before Classic
Due to PA either ending a very strong directional run or repeatedly bumping at S or R, and in either situation there being very high current volume, the odds are increased for a reversal. Or, at least for a very nice pullback. This is a situation for a Scout, which is very much perception oriented. Sometimes a quick entry looks appropriate, but that involves a counter-trend entry in the midst of trend momentum. So waiting for some additional PA/confirmation for a move in the opposite direction is often the best thing to do. This is, and always has been, Sonicdeejay's advice. You are looking to make a counter-trend entry, and so it is wise to look for signs that the trend momentum may have given up the ghost.

The Scout in this situation has nothing to do with using the Dragon to locate an EP area because PA can be far removed from the Dragon. The anticipation is the next move will be back towards, and maybe thru, the Dragon. So, you see that the idea behind this Scout is in the anticipation that PA has "run it's course" in the current direction, anticipation based on a number of factors which can include PVSRA.

This Scout situation is very high risk compared to the Classic trade because currently there is no counter-trend momentum to support your counter-trend Scout, and you are guessing the direction of the next momentum will be counter-trend. Well, PVSRA is not exactly guessing, but we have seen time and again, what looked like a pending reversal ends up being followed by trend continuation. Increasing skill with PVSRA can reduce this risk, but it is still a high risk trade whenever an entry is made against the prevailing trend.

Scout During Classic
Earlier in this thread there is mention of Classic re-entry trades, trades added to the Classic that is green, following a pullback and when PA then proceeds on past the previous high or low. However, the top/bottom of the pullback is the optimum place to add to the Classic. With the advent of PVSRA - helping us to be more sure of the status of the MMs (bulls or bears) - we can have more confidence to add to the Classic during retraces instead of waiting for PA to proceed on past the previous high or low. Such an addition to the Classic trade is another type of Scout situation, which for all intents and purposes also replaces the term "re-entry" trade. There will be times, after a Classic trade has begun, that PA will put the Classic trade into the red. This can be a reversal and the trade should be closed if you see it that way. Or, it can simply be the Robber Bank MMs Stop Hunting, in which case another Scout trade situation presents itself. But remember, adding to a Classic trade that is in the red is not recommended, no matter how tempting it looks.

Conclusion
A Scout before a Classic is higher risk than a Scout during a Classic. A Scout during a Classic that puts the Classic red (a Stop Hunt?) is also high risk, and not recommended. A Scout during a Classic, on retraces while the trade is green, is the safest application of the Scout.

I continue to see this bearish. Here is my take on the PA Friday......

AUDJPY Short Trade Opened:

Classic entry. The setup is nice, so I took it even though in the Asian session. Friday was strong shorting. Reset was on declining volume. This is a PVSRA indication the MMs remain bears. The high so far today was on the highest volume, followed by a nice bear PA wave with the Dragon angled down and also below the Trend. I do not know if the target will be reached before the LS. It might not. And the LS might involve resetting the price higher again as the big Robber Banks look to add more shorts. So, I might be removing my SL and looking to add a Scout later. And, depending on how things go, I might be lowering my target and looking for a bigger swing down over more than one day. Time will tell.

Just curious if any other broker is showing a 25 pip difference on Pound pairs from Friday close to Sunday open.
