Haven't posted in a while here but my trading is going good.

Took a few heavy losses the past 10 days but im back on track

Oh yeh. Aug'2014 has 5 full week ends which happens once in 10 centuries. I guess, last time it happend in year 1119.

We fast forward an hour and what do we see on the 15m of EJ? We see since getting the signal to buy (arrow marked in yellow)

1) The same candle which triggered us to buy NEVER was engulfed (although coming close to it for more then 45 mins)

2) Not one engulf of a green candle.

Of course it isnīt a ton of pips, but the reality is you can scalp the amount of pips you want instead of sitting and waiting for it.
Banks scalp, why don't you?

Even if it breaks out of this level, it will come back, I think, looks like a good pivot. Even if we get as high as 35 or more or down to 31 or less, 33 should be a good target after moves like that.

SL never hit on either pairs. Since time of the post EU is up 20 pips, and EJ up 20 pips also.

You made 6 pips on EU and it meant 24%+ to your account? Do you leverage 1:400? If so, thats not trading, but pure gamble.

That only matters to swing traders, its mostly scalpers or traders aiming for 50-100 pips in here.

How about March 2014, does this count as full weekends.
1st weekend = 1, 2
2nd weekend = 8,9
3rd weekend = 15, 16
4th weekend = 22, 23
5th weekend = 29, 30

sure, they are both important in a sense.
How much I weight on them would depends on what the actual number after release.

When asked how to make the choices in this situation,
If I wanted to Short EU on 4H+ chart, i would need to see a GDP deterioration and at least a in-line US job claim number.
As for long, I wouldn't place too much bet on long since EU is heavy bear these days due to the latest round of economy data and geopolitical tension. Plus we have not seen a near term solid bottom support yet on daily chart. So I would stay away from long since i do not know where should place my stop.

If I wanted to Short EU on 4H- chart, all i need is a confirmed GDP deterioration in EUR zone and take or lock my profit before USD job claim comes out.
My chart i pulled from earlier is somewhat hinting a lower EU, but still i suggest you act according to the price action at the time numbers are released and prepared yourself for any surprises.

Am I making sense?

In the Weekly chart, the last two candles have a tail on the downside, So expecting a bounce sometime this week. I am expecting we might see a green weekly candle.

Disclaimer: I don't have a crystal ball, its all a guess.

Hey Okosodo, I believe if tonight's GDP comes out bad, it would be a good trigger for a near term EU leg down and well put us on the 1.3300 or lower.
This is one piece news i would't ignore tonight.
