Basically I use one of the simplest methods of trading. I follow the price action and stop doing so once an engulf
occurs.

Depending on the pattern which occurs, a specific candle is picked as the candle which needs to be engulfed for a reversal to occur. Other wise you hold the extension. In this case the EXTENSION would be the move down as the overall trend is down.
