Hey Friend,
I looked into the Surface and felt it was over kill price/what I was gong to use it for. Highly recommend getting a cheep $249 ASUS laptop from Best Buy and only use it for trading. It comes windows 8.1 with 64G, and that's more than enough. That's if you want a separate CPU for trading. Like I said, highly recommend. Other wise what you do on the same cpu could interfere with the EA. I have three stand alone laptops just for trading and a laptop for everything else. Cheers

is their any indicator which will show % of change history per pair with session box or session closing lines.

Does basket EAs need a i7? I'm thinking of running 5 MT4s each with a basket on demo while I'm learning this new technique.

Hi guys,

I wish to share the worst part of being a trader if you're lack of mental and physical strength and readiness.
I think this is the best example if you fail to manage time to rest, work and other commitments.
I don't sleep for 2 days and as a result, I fall asleep during asian session until london trading sessions took place.
When I woke-up...things already happened...
Luckily it was demo account.

I got "Inverse-Profit" aka loss...

Hey guys, been trading this for about a week now, slowly getting my head around some stuff, and I have a question. It may be an obvious one, and if it is I apologise, but here goes...

When we are trading the GBP6, the basket includes 2 inversely correlated pairs, the EURGBP and the GBPCHF. At the moment I am in a sell with this basket and both are negating each other due to their inverse correlation.

My question is: at what point should one make a decision on whether to cut loose the loser? Is this just something I have to decide for myself or is their a tactic that some of you are using.

It just seems to me that the GBPCHF is a little at odds in this basket, unless it is their purely for hedging purposes.

Apart from this, thanks so much to seller9 and other regular contributors to this thread...I am having a ball with basket trading!

Create GBP BASKET in this order , reverse trade within seller EA on the first pair

EURGBP << base currency EUR counter or quote currency >>GBP
GBPCHF << base currency GBP - you get the picture
GBPNZD
GBPJPY
GBPAUD
GBPCAD
GBPUSD

It is better to either not include negative correlated pairs in the same basket, or your create another basket for the pairs or better still change them in the EA so they are traded negatively from the rest of the basket. You must have seen some traders doing it in this thread. All the best.

Thanks sharemaster, I will try these things out. As for seeing these kinds of things already posted here in the thread, 245 pages is a lot to read in one week when I already work a 10-12 hour day before I get to the screen. I am slowly going through it, and as I think of a question, I will ask.

Many thanks, will try out the reverse feature of the EA on demo until I get the hang of how it operates.

Looking at all CAD pairs so far it looks like we have an ascending triangle pattern?

CAD lineup was split in 2 for a reason last night. As you can see line up 1 on CAD is up +100 since the news event and counting.
