Out of the trade, next week could be interesting, 137.5 holding so far, could bounce up from here, at least until 138.4, happy weekend.

i doubt so...in next 2 weeks critical for this pair, i am holding. i doubt any further break is anticipated. looking at 4 hr and 1 day chart, it'still trending down but it will take at least 2 weeks for that to happen. bearish divergence is showing up in most of the TF. 136.64 to 82 is my target and good luck...

EURJPY can test 137 level if it breaks below 137.60.

According to my OHLC and Bollinger Bands, (that's about all I use these days for trend spotting) these are the trends of the following charts:

As of 8/52014 PST am

15 Min - TRANSITION- I only use 15 min for positioning a trade
30 Min - TRANSITION- I use for confirming a short term trend
1 Hour - DOWN- day trades
2 Hour - DOWN- if in a position you clearly want to be with its direction
3 Hour - DOWN- confirm for longer term trade
4 Hour - DOWN- the same
The Daily - UP - this tells you whether to short or go long. Its direction can be from 1-2 days to a week or more. If you are in a long term position, such as I am, it tells me how long I need to weather the storm. Even though its dropping, the indicator is still up.
Weekly - DOWN- an overall trending condition. This is for long termers but is useful for overall condition of the market
Monthly - TRANSITION- if this goes into a downtrend, we are looking many months of trending down.

EJ has been uptrending for over a year now. It would be expected for it to do some serious retracement. The EMA is just starting to break away from the high part of the OHLC indicator. A 50% retracement would be around the low 120's. You can still do quite well going long but caution is recommended if you are in a long term trade.

Very good analysis, I agree in long term that the majoy 'floor' in this market is down at the 135 handle.

The pair is still vulnerable to test 136.40-136.35 support zone, which can be critical to determine near-term moves of EURJPY. A break above 137 is likely to reverse the recent fall.

With the crazy spike that we had today, do you think EUR/JPY broke support level 136.4 and should continue going down? The resistance at 138 will hold? I feel like the EUR and the USD are both going down.. Time to short EUR and USD?

After hitting fresh 2014 lows, EURJPY rebounds from 136.20 support region.
Can it continue its recovery from yearly lows to retest 138.00 strong resistance marked by 50-day SMA and a descending trend-line resistance extending from May 2014 through highs touched in June and July 2014?

This pair closed below support at 136.58 today, prices are too close to enter short from a risk/reward perspective, but on the other hand I can't see any clear sign suggest bullish reversal. I will have to wait for tomorrow to see how this pair goes.
