below that support comes in 8910 , to me also minor
if selling pressure doesn't let off either of the above then real support comes in ca. 8750ish

Yes, all is about there. Funny that you mention 87... marked as well as next stop bellow 89. All part of the larger group. 94 could be interesting as well :-)

Hello folks!!!

DAX Floor at 9014 - 8964. Could see some bounce in play here.. Index looks very bearish and if this floor gives way, 8414 and 8014 are the next two levels to watch for.

GM - I'm with you on this as I was seeing signs of the DAX holding above its 9150 level throughout yesyerday and Monday - I'm thinking some profit taking after last week's 550 pt fall. However, the action was very much up via the stairs and down via the elevator when viewed on the shorter TF charts.

That all changed at 17:30 gmt when Europe had closed and the news about Russia invading Ukrain hit the wires sending the DAX down 100 pts in half an hour.....strange that there is no big followup that I can find on this news this morning.....

So far this morning we have a HL in mid Frankies Hour at the MS 1 level.......now its time for coffee before LO.....plenty of time later to pull some fib retraces IF price starts to move up in elevator fashion....

Just a word of caution... Russia is expected to announce its own sanctions against EU (would be good if anyone had info on when they expect to announce).. DAX could probably take a hit depending on the seriousness of the sanctions. So geo political events definitely should be factored in besides just TA.

Can anyone tell me how much of an affect the actual DAX components have on running the price up and down?

For example if the majority of the 30 companies are negative % can we expect the price to fall as a result?

Thanks, I had not seen that.....as you say, buy with caution - for me, that's smaller size, trail a stop and bank when any rally stalls.....so far this morning, an early sell and bank in the spike - ¿ stop sweep? to a new low......and then bought some ~9075.....

My daily analysis gives me a final target of 9014 as long as my golden trendline is not broken by a full candle. It looks like a retrace heading towards the golden trendline can start after a long and boring sideways period. Will see.

Agree. I don't see any long trades on dailies either , only good for 20-30 pts scalps.Seems 9000 is game.

I have the 8980 to 8770 area as a potential target.....it includes the first fib retrace and the weekly TL.....and so far, no divergence from the TVI on this or the 4 hrly charts..... TWT.

Meanwhile, as you say, some great intra day swings / scalps both ways

Better pickings in DAX and FTSE than in a lot of forex pairs at the moment.
