maybe... or the calm before the storm... the 1/4 mofu has the usdx.. but last summers high indicates this move can have legs.. first -1800 pips left on eu.. that challenges the 2 lows since 2009.. we got a chart.. we got a ecb crying. and we got better gdp and improving employment. where was the eu prior to 911 when easing first started?

Sad and true..it would be nice to know how much BS is factored in. BS index could be one of the most useful tools around.

CDS gross and net notional exposure to Arg debt is rather small.. (region of $1bn) and given the fact, they aren't really defaulting, the recovery rate is going to be rather high if the ISDA consider this a "credit event"...

So basically, the risk, is very small percentages of this 1bn, and not really a systemic (or otherwise) risk the financial markets - other than a nice headline.

I wouldn't read too much into it tbh, not that important

a billion isn't much, the problem is we dont know if this is the first of one, or the first of 20. the post included other risk in the contest of the ones quoted. these risk lead to other ez countries. and these along with Argentina have been backed by some insurance. some are backed by countries who are backed by the ecb. the systemic part is the ecb stress test was bs. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-0...-day-drop.html
this bs stress test was called bs back then by myself, and its still bs.. ,, last one started with black rock news, then bear and stearn,, and so forth.. it was a trickle before the flood.. i hope they fixed it, but i would not bet on it.. if its just tiny part of 2008 then the ecb is not in good shape. all we are doing is thinking out loud. we are not saying bet the farm. but we are watching events unfold irt.. a small part of any of this and ecb will probably feel a need to print to prop up banks.

I would like to go back and look at the 1 min chart for Tuesday 2 weeks ago.
I cant find anything that will let me look at historical quotes like this.
Do you know where this info could be found?

If you are using MT4 close the platform reopen it then turn off the auto scroll function and use the pageup key on keyboard to load history.
