If you sell now, your stop will have to be over. 50 pips, so i would wait a few days for a retracement... Unless your are patient with drawdown and minimal trade size, then fire away.. The fed announcement at. 7 pm gmt will probably make it fall even harder

if we get 3420 we will probably get even higher, and i don't think it's ready for that yet. FOMC tonight but dont expect anything major out of that so. Short bias is still in play, just want to top of my profits for today, as i think downside is a bit limited for the rest of the day. I'm in at 3376 and will feed the bears with it if we see price below 3369

EDIT: And there they are gone.. hit SL! Could be that i got stophunted but it was so small.. dont care. Lets wait and see whats comming.

3324/25 area may have some toe stubbing. inside 399x to 3102. a smaller target for 3112 pa built. 3312 is also the LM on the 3/4 mark to 3102.

my reason for looking at 3380 level is that i saw a major price level at 3680. that level has been core of my technical analysis on the weekly TF.

from the top in May 4 to the 3680 line , its around 300 pips. and we are now also 300 pips below that 3680 line.

also, looking at the weekly chart, if you count from the week of feb 6 to the top at may 4, its 13 bars.

and now it is again 13 bars from that top.

so, i would expect a nice retrace starting to form within this week.


i am purely technical here so if its the FOMC announcement tonight, lets hope it would add more magic to my chart analysis.

Could be that we have found a short term bottom today, got a better reation when we hit the 3366 area (and where i got stophunted) so anything is possible. I'm just waiting now, looking at price and how we behave. We could very well be up for a short correction for a couple of days. Just have to wait and see how the day turns out. Looking at 4H and daily candles for clues. Good luck!

personally i wouldnt buy here. there is no sign of a reversal or retracement whatever you call it. you cant pick bottoms, it never works.

Agree with your observation. I also like to look at the H4 chart to begin my analysis with. and it shows a very interesting 4-peak MACD divergence .

& funny enough, the low so far is 1.33670

and the may 4 high is 1.39936..

and the mid point is.............. 1.36803!

it starts to get really interesting to me. let's wait and see.
