The pair is now above the Kijun-sen and the cloud on the weekly time frame.

The only thing stopping this pair from this pair from a long term bull run is

1) Last months high... 1.9900

2) The 200EMA and this years high around 2.03.

There are no guarantees... but I would buy. Rollover will hurt no doubt.

August 7th BOE MPC statement should be interesting

I would not do it, except you have a lot of money and/or very small positions. My shorts just got killed last night. And before a serious NZD bounce, I do not want to put my head in front of this speed train. No offense of course.

I got wasted short last night as well. I saw a bearish divergence forming and jumped in with too tight a stop loss.

The divergence still seems to be there. Has anybody had any luck using divergences as an indicator with this pair?

The big spike has throw a lot of the best laid plans out the window

I guess NZ won't hit parity this week

I see posts saying down 0.80 an much lower.

One thing for sure is we will get plenty off chances to earn some pips

I am waiting to see what happens around 2.0 etc
Now it may be time to start thinking about shorts. however, short it at your own risk and keep a reasonable sl.
took small short at 1.9952. if i see anything weird, am all OUT. this beast may go far beyond 2.0000

Hi, hows your guys positive swap fees on these shorts? and whats your brokers spread? thx M
Closed all my shorts @ 1.9788 before the weekend, should have closed @ 1.9753, but I hesitated a bit and price went back up, but that's okay, 403 pips since July 24th.

For 2012mysterio question about the swap, it gave almost 1% profit on positive swap, my broker has around 12 pips spread on this pair, but it can go up to 25-30 pips spread during news and on the opening of the asian session, I know it sucks such a large spread. This is a pair that I respect and I don't mess around with it.

This is my favorite pair and it does require a lot of patience and if you have a tight SL on this pair, you can get burnt, I had a premature short on the 24th that was negative, but my SL was far away and after NFP released, it helped GPB/NZD to go my way and finally give the correct movement I expected.

I'll post another graph to show what I mean.

This is the Daily TF, price touched previous resistance that is now acting as support, if it breaks below with a decisive bearish candle, expect price to go back to the upward trenline or at least test previous low @ 1.9558, there is also previous sup area @ 1.9400.

On the upside, if price holds where it is now, expect price to test previous high @ 1.9950 to try to break the psychological level @ 2.000.

Trade accordingly and happy pips to everyone.
