added another long, H1 very bullish, it didn't even touch 1.08 but let's see what will happen, I don't like predictions very much.

it's consolidation for sure, although it looks to me like preparing for up. if don't, SL would save the day .

I would not expect much before FOMC on USD/CAD, 1,081-2 is an important level on daily time frame so the price might need to "rest" a little bit before taking it out hopefully. We've broken the falling wedge on the daily time frame on Friday so the upside should be preffered in next weeks.

yes, FED is an important issue but the resting could be further than 1.082 resistance. anyway, right now there's an uptrend here and for the levels no one knows exactly where it will lay before FED but if it break 1.082 it will be very good sign. I agree that long positions should be preferred.

USDCAD testing 1.0814 on the reversal of 1.0710. However, a break of 1.0835 can only prove to be a strong point for the the pair; otherwise, it is expected to re-test 1.0760 and 1.0710 levels.

Agree; very hard to tell if this is correction after the 5th wave or the 4th subwave is in progress... although a 4th sub wave generally goes sideways... so it is very possible; in which case downside can be limited with one more leg up!

following uptrend last Friday a bit of retracement/consolidation on Monday was on the cards. Retracement was minimal and above 1.0800 threshold today therefore bulls still remain in charge.

I actually don't believe there will be much chance for a pullback until 1.1. As stated before, a straight line trend is quite normal with this pair. Next week will be shorter in Canada as Monday is bank holiday...but there will be the employment data. Chances are that most of the activity will be this week.

looking at shorting 10884 back too 10820... then take it up too 10910 and 10936 respectively.. the latter will be nfp I presume,, probably 10910 nfp goes too 10840 then finishes nfp at 10936

shorting USDCAD in uptrend is not very wise unless you are a consummate scalper. However, congestion area from 10870 should be first resistance

Two things to consider if You'd like to short USD/CAD on any higher time frame...

We might be at the start of 5th Wave up on weekly chart ~

And the daily chart is quite clear also, falling wedge broken with ease, 2 strong ressistances taken out wothout any serious retrace below them (1,072 and 1,082 levels) As long as Granny Jellen won't send us a report full of Dolar bearishnes today and the GDP and labour market data will be decent then I'd vote for new yearly highs before december
