It's from previous highs and lows / supply demand. its the level in between strong support/resistance. Price generally stops there since buyers/sellers disagree on price

3483 is proving to be hard to break.. it must run down in order to break it higher I think if it is to break. If it doesn't break, I'm TP at this level on the next attempt most likely.

EURUSD
Looking to short at 1.3505/10, would be nice area, next target is 1.3390, 1.618 Ext Daily chart and target of double top daily.

Even if the pair broke 1.3500, ascending trend line and horizontal support near 1.3410 can continue restricting the pair from falling towards 1.3330.

well your trendline startpoint is a bit off! so it will not be very useful to you.

I think thats a question of taste and experience. support and resistancelines is usually best placed in areas where you get an reaction in price as it touch a level. But also, they're usually only good until broken. BUT many ppl here like to keep them after they are broken.. it's all a matter of taste.
As your lines have had multiple reactions from them, i would say they can be used as valid supportlines.
