probably good for a scalp, wouldn't get too attached to that one as it's likely to break the highs and head to 1.1175 in coming days

im going long - would like to steal ca.30-45 pips (hedge) run towards 0.8615-34 is normal before lower levels.

I never doubt myself if I exit a position in a lot of profit.
Profit is profit! That is a good problem to have my man!

I look at simple trends. If I'm short and I've gained 50+ pips and it is retracing I exit immediately. If it is still going down I can re-enter my short once it spikes a little. If I'm long and I sense a downtrend emerging I exit unless there's prior resistance at a number that I feel it could bounce off and go back up.

it's all situational and based on prior trading experience. IT's one of those things that takes time and trading mistakes too learn. That's how I've learned when to exit

I think we are approaching it today.

A retrace to 8650 looks on the cards though before more follow through

Price action from whatever higher TF chart you use if you're in the direction of the same TF trend.
If countertrend, usually lower TF PA.
