DislikedMore volatility than I expected with a 100 point drop in the morning, followed by the US traders reversing that move......fine, I got some pips out of both by just following the action. However, 5pm in Europe is Sundowners Time and I headed for my pool and so missed the 100+ fall that started 7 mins later I wonder if this fall was news driven{image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah what's up with that? The volatility is totally non-existent. I started testing out one of my chart templates from last year on DAX and other indeces and they very well. Considering the lack of volatility in fx and the existence of large, long term trend in indeces I'm actually considering dumping fx altogether. Doesn't make sense to wait for a move the whole day or to trade NFP when the result is just 40 pips. Islander, have you tried trading CAC, Nikkei or FTSE? I have access to DAX, CAC, Stoxx600, NQ100, SP500, DowJones, Nikkei and...Ignored
DislikedI sold in the 06:50 gmt bar after price failed so stay above its opening level and banked partials at the 9675 level as the volumes (tick) increased, with the low so far just above Friday morning's higher low......chart laterIgnored
Disliked{quote} @IronPrawn - agreed, as long as we can bank consistant pips / points during our chosen trading time, we must accept that we will miss the odd move.......for me, a relaxing swim and cold San Miguel after 5pm in Europe is priceless.... Good to see some more posts here - lets hope for more with charts to show everyone what's being done by various traders .....now opened at 9725, - 10 on the 20:00 GMT closeIgnored
Disliked{quote} No tea at 5 pm? Entered earlier today on DAX futures. Great start of the week. Probably will close majority and cover but 9500 looks very good. We'll see. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Wifey usually takes a glass of "pink tea" - aka Vino Rosado at 5pm Good that you were short too......I closed my last trade - an older one - on that hit of the 9615 area. IF I had been by my screen, I would have taken a partial position buy in the HL half an hour later and taken another 40 or so..... Now I am waiting to see what the US guys do......I agree that the 9500 area could easily be the next target.....IF the Big Dogs so desire! {image}Ignored
