Buy Limit at 1.3513 (S/L 1.3507) for 1.3553, 1.3578 and 1.3637.

Then at 1.3504 (S/L 1.35000), same targets.

If upwards, then I'll look for a place to sell.

Dollar still performing like crap today lol, thankfully most of my longs were against EUR. Bailed on AUD after this bounce but will sell thru 0.9330 break

A nugget that I figured out last night though....

China FX reserves expanded by 130bn in Q2, Fed bought 125bn vs Net tsy issuance of -63bn

If 60% of that expansion in China reserves went into US tsys, then the amount of non price sensitive buying absolutely dwarfs the size of issuance. In comparison the last quarter that saw rising yields (Q4 2013), China FX reserves expanded 160bn, Fed bot 255bn, Net tsy issuance of 263bn.


As long as Obama is decreasing the deficit while the Fed and China are still buying, this low rate (low USD) environment will continue. The only sellers in the TSY market not driven by pure momentum are discretionary speculators, which are a relatively microscopic part of the market volume. They cant push price alone, so these days they probably dont even bother. The Fed and China drive price action alone.


The bigger question here is... if China has widened their currency trading band in Q1, and the fx rate is no longer is bumping against the daily trading limits... why are they still building up massive amounts of reserves at the SAME PACE they were last year. Someone is cheating...
