I am with you @fxmasterdxb I am long from 101.50 with 50 pips stoploss and Tp 102.5

looking good so far , i will set the S/L to BE once it crosses 101.85

Bot some USDJPY @ 101.67. Stops tight at 101.40. The rejection of the risk off move across all asset classes (commodity currencies, equities, credit etc) shows resilience of the risk-on environment. Lets see how this goes. Targeting the mid 102 area as the initial take profit.

There is bullish macd. Placed a buy order at the break of the pin bar

I've been waiting for it to reach 102.50 area for over a week now. There have been enough tests to the downside lately with no real tests to the upside besides one against the 102.20 region. It seems to me we are due for another test, deeper into the 102's.

There is also some important news being released tonight out of Japan at 7:30, 7:50 EST and then China @ 9:30 EST.

I have a feeling the usd/jpy players have been waiting for this news tonight for a while. We may finally see a big move either up or down. If this data can't do it then we may be waiting awhile.

keep in mind its the end of the month. check the set ups and bars for weekly and monthly. it offers insight.

Opened a tentative long here at 101.39.

Picking on the latest trend on USDJPY. With the latest news came in, i believe 101.00 is near.

Up up up. 200 pips needed.

Having breached symmetrical triangle the USDJPY is likely to test a near 101 level. However, a reversal from 10160 can become a case for the pair to test 102.

Break of 100 is coming !

too early bro if UJ will break 100..I think now is the bottom....

What a day! Stuck in the range .35 - .45 sure hope something pushes it soon!
...made some pips in other pairs.

Thursday next week is the NFP, because Friday is their (USA) most important day in July.
So there is a possibility that some startling data might do it.
It is also the start of a new month and BoJ might do some meddling.

I think it will need a good kick from somewhere to get UJ to 102.
The 4hr chart hints that there may be a lift due, but the news flow from Japan is becoming encouraging and that will hold UJ down.
A sustained charge on the Nikkei might lift it.....

So the Q1 GDP and 24-year high Yen inflation from last week is really pushing UJ towards it's bottom last week.
101.00 is insight.

Longer timeframe view, but I am of the view that the risk of a USD/JPY un-wind is eminent. Six months of extreme low vol and Mrs Watenabe (carry trader) has been at the trough long to the gunnels. The pair didn't participate in the Topix rally (Japanese banks), now that looks like topping out. My preference is to sell the crosses, NZD, AUD and GBP as their positioning is the longest., a nice 800 point clean out please would be most welcome.
