took these trades with TDI crosses. Took nearly 60 from A/Cad. Gave nearly 30 with E/cad

One last example of why the close of the previous candle can't be used to see what the tdi looked like at the open of the new one with the tdi. I've been using tms alerts this week so I can monitor more pairs and then when the alert goes off I just see what the cross is like and decide. Looking at EU today, if I look at the close of the 11:00 candle it looks like there was no cross when the new candle opened at 12:00 gmt (13:00 London time) although it had turned up a bit, but the alert went off at 13:00 to say there was a cross (the alert times in the 2nd image are my computer time, so I am around 7 seconds slow ) What I'm trying to show is the importance of looking at the open of the candle like eelfranz said.

Thank you for posting many examples, they help visually.

"@ the open of the candle like eelfranz said". Therefore, while the current candle (13:00 Lon time) is forming, the TDI might changed from not good angle as mentioned above to a good angle which can be captured by a real time TDI, do we take this trade?

Not quite what I meant. You were saying earlier in the day (and a lot of people say the same thing) that when you're looking back, the close of the previous candle will show what the open of the new candle looked like. What I showed there was that although at the close of the previous candle, the tdi had turned up a little bit but hadn't crossed, on the open of the next candle it actually crossed because the alert went off and it only goes off when there is a cross even a slight one. I am not in the mood for trading today but if I had to choose between the EJ alert that went off at the same time it would have been EU, reason being, it was crossing the mbl at the same time and EJ was still under it.

I've got to go out now, but a couple of people have pm'd me asking about the tms alerts I'm using so thought I would post it here. I have the default settings under inputs except where it says Alert OnBarClose I have it set to false and Alert Popup as true, as I want to see the cross at the beginning of the candle not the end.

Just be very choosy when you look at the chart after the alert has gone off, it will alert on even the slightest cross so be careful and don't just take a trade because it says so

locked in at 30 odd pips,target lower down as it broke the trendline on my H1 chart. Took a loss with E/U but had re-entered again. Other trades only so,so
