USDCAD: Robber Banks Whip Whacking to Steal

You can see the many times from last Thursday to now that the Robber Bank MMs have whacked the price back below the half number. H1 is starting to turn positive and the Robber Banks took the opportunity to whack it again for liquidity to get more of their own long orders filled. Therefore, it looks like the next proper Classic long setup should be the one to take.

Closed for 273.6 pips gain. I added another Classic long and a half dozen long Scouts after the initial entry. Temorarily, the MMs looked bullish enough to enter a long trade. But this has taken too long and because this is bearish overall, I decided to take profit.

As you can see from the second picture, it did go back up. But overall, it looks like EU and AU will both continue down, so trading EA is sort of like trying to bet on which of two losing horses you think to be the better loser.

Anyway, I do not know what passage you read that makes the statement you made. To me, the key is that the MMs whacked the price below the whole number on notable volume. It is a premise of PVSRA that MMs prefer to build long below key SR.

H1 shows this to be bearish. It is ranging. Until the price breaks up out of the range, and better if H1 Dragon crosses up thru our Trend line, this remains bearish. From the whips above the half number while ranging, we have PVSRA clues the MMs are bears that are building shorts. The current move up might have been to gain more liquidity for shorting by sucking in longs. The heavy activity below the whole number might have been partly closing some previous shorts for profit in order to start the move up to head fake in longs. Bears closing shorts below key SR can look like bulls accumulating longs. This is why PVSRA is an art, in which you have to put each piece of the puzzle together to form the correct picture. This means you must always have a keen eye to the bigger picture when examining individual clues.

Time will tell more about this pair. Are the MMs simply trading the range - top to bottom, bottom back to top - or are the MMs building for a breakout move? We'll have to wait for more clues, and possibly to just see what happens if the clues are conflicting.

Meanwhile, this was a nice Classic long setup and trade opportunity while price ranges.

For a week now, the MMs have kept the price in the area of the whole number. There have been a number of whips up thru the whole number on notable volume, a PVSRA indication the MMs are bears. Their first focus was probably closing longs. Now it is accumulating shorts. You can see the times of strong moves down off highs, the PVSRA indication the MMs are bears that are now seriously shorting.

In about 1.5 hours we have a AUD high impact release. The MMs already know the content. They do not react to such "news". They scheme in advance of it. I would not be surprised to see the price whipped & whacked in conjunction with this release, or may just whipped up and supported until the USD releases later. The USD releases, too, could be accompanied by more whip n' whacking. RDH and the upper half number just look too close for the Robber Bank MMs to pass up as conservative targets for whipping & whacking the price to steal money from traders. And, if they get real greedy, how about a 100+ pips whip n' whack - up to the upper whole number/RWH - an excellent liquidity creating move by triggering pending longs and by wiping out a lot of existing shorts!

Just keep in mind that we cannot divine the future of PA, no matter what indicators we use. All of them will always fail when the MMs get their dander up and go into "Robber Mode". The best technique we have is to use PVSRA to see what they are doing, and to trade "wise size" in case their "Robber Mode" goes into afterburners!

A lot of folks have probably entered short positions over these last days. I am sure the Robber Bank MMs are looking at ways to put those short positions into their own pockets before seriously starting a price move lower.
