In any case, well both Longs and shorts position currently have a sip of gambling. The ECB doesn't vote on rate cuts/ hikes every day, they have two meetings per month. The first one is going to be tomorrow, dominated by monetary policy decisions and the other one - unannounced regarding internal banking issues. So, whether you are buying or selling - no decision has been taking yet. You can't have a rate decision without the governing council meeting and vote .. so, whether it's a yes or a no, it hasn't been decided yet!

Yup I just wasted a couple minutes and pull out a monthly chart. This market is driven by speculation. Not strictly by rate. A whole year time span that rate and spot go complete opposite way is not long enough??

PA often moves before funds official release, Happened before he opened his mouth with infamous whatevs, and non coms became buyers after that, they where sellers for a brief moment just ones at 1.37 feb 2013 I wanted to sell but I was not sure about this strategy, Gator wanted as well but he was concerned about BOJ easing atm.
Just wanted to point out important sentiment shift
You do not trade against merc crowd!

You are welcome, if you have a good hold of it - i can only wish you the best of luck towards whatever decision ... I'm not usually intimidated by big crowds or banks of whatever everyone is doing, and i'm not afraid of looking like a fool - going against a very big wave, like the one we are having now! If i have good reasons to sell the hell of EU or i think market is going into the wrong direction, i will bet on it - till i'm proved wrong ...

You can't a swing a position and expect results tomorrow morning or a bloody nose from time to time - i got married to the Yen trade 3 months before i see it rising, 4 months on the Canadian trade at 1.02 and got bored only for it to rise 6 months later and others ..

non comms/investment banks selling could be orchestrated by central banks...in other words no connection with reality but only to price levels probably to contain effect of ECB decision. However, the only thing you could do is to follow PA and check COT on Friday.

We should expect some good spikes

ended up with this - but just bailed on all of it - will wait for better bullish PA before re-entering

8158 key level res. as marked with 8073 as support, so will consider bounces in the range or break/retest of the upper level

not trading,, unless it gets to 358x w/o a LL. i long there with a tight stop. the same near 3649 for a short.. on my hands atm. i got some pending shorts 3711 75 3832 just in case she bounces before news. other then that catching up on "house of cards"
