Tradersway Paves the Way in Client Support!
Sonicers,
Last week there was a disturbing event. A broker modified the traditional MT4/5 volume data feed, smoothing out the data so that the volume display was essentially useless to users of volume.
This broker, Tradersway, stated the network they were on was connecting new liquidity providers and they were getting the tick data from the network, not just from their own book of business, and that they were experiencing an overwhelming number of ticks per second. Their solution was to apply a smoothing algorithm so that they could deal with a smaller variation in the number of ticks per second. This is what created the smoothing effect that rendered the volume display worthless to users of volume.
Sonicer "cigarguy" opened communications with this broker in an attempt to get the broker to appreciate the utility of the MT4/5 volume display that so many traders rely on, and to apply a different algorithm that would both handle the quantity of ticks per second as well as preserve the utility of the MT4/5 volume display (such as simply displaying only 50% or only 10% of the total ticks per second, which would preserve the high-low changes in volume we Sonicers need).
I am both surprised and pleased with the way Tradersway attended to this matter. Instead of simply giving lip service to our concern and our inquiry, Tradersway actually treated the matter with the attentiveness it deserved. The result is a volume display similar to that of any other broker, which shows those relative changes in volume that we require.
After having much trepidation over this matter, my hat is off to Tradersway for being genuine and accommodating, commendable and atypical broker performance indeed!
