Asian Pacific indexes markets hit a 6 month high, with the Japan’s NIKKEI rising 0.8% back above 15000; Australian ASX 200 +0.5%; Chinese bourses also rallying.
Indian stock market index BSE Sensex keeping after elections gains.

China’s benchmark interest-rate swaps this morning dropped the most in four weeks after the China government said that it will ease reserve requirements for some banks.

Peripheral yields are back at pushing lower.
US 10 year back above 2.50% yield.

Some headlines:
•BOJ's Kuroda warns against premature talk of exit from stimulus.
•Reuters poll shows that next BoJ easing likely late this year.
•Japan monetary base at new record on BoJ easy policy, May +45.6% YoY
•RBA leaves OCR as is and as eyed at 2.5%, policy remains accommodative, AUD still high by historical standards and in light of falling commodity prices, inflation consistent with target, period of stability in rates likely.

Data points (GMT):
10:00 Flash EUR HICP. A fall back to 0.5% y/y looks likely, while a multi-year low of 0.4% would not be a huge surprise either.

Comment:
If HICP prints 0.4% YoY there are some things I will look for:
1)It’s likely that EUR/USD will break 1.36 decisively, if it doesn’t I expect short-covering as shorts are eager for this, maybe back above 1.3640. Eyes open on this number.
2)ECB will have no excuse to act bold, If it doesn’t show detailed follow-through on his easing measures then I also expect that market will feel disappointment; Showing it has a solid long-term plan to fight low inflation will be more important than just cutting rates or introducing another LTRO, ABS QE.

USD is rallying against emerging markets currencies of the likes ZAR and BRL as they are backed by gold reserve intensive central banks. Commodities currencies are also under pressure against USD like CAD, NZD and AUD. This made Dollar index post a new high which also depressed EUR and GBP pairs.
A boarder dollar rally, but still selective is being put on.

I believe this rally will not lead to sustained dollar strength; in fact I see it as a counter-trade signal and look into short USD against DM and commodities currencies.

On Asian-Pacific markets, the rally is very impressive; it seems to be catching up with the main Developed Markets indexes.

EUR/USD:
As noted above I think EUR/USD is being depressed by the USD boarder rally.
The 1.3586 level held again in EUR/USD with leveraged funds taking profits on short positions pre-ECB and demand from Asian (China?) reserve managers having supported the pair.
Above 1.3630 stops resting.
Offers at 1.3650 where solid selling interest is reported.

Talk that leveraged names bought EUR/YEN yesterday which helped lift EUR/USD back to pre-German inflation data.

Options:
EUR 1.1BLN(Large) at 1.3600
EUR 670 MLN at 1.3650

I could go on with this report the news never stop, but I have to end it somewhere.
