That's more or less what I figured out too, but it feels very unsecure...

Found some rebounds for down, traded a few. All in demo, just trying to see the moves and bumps.

Draw some Fibo levels (+ 50% between them) between the two historic red lines from the 90's. This is astounding, 2 decades after, price showing respect to these levels...

This is Daily Timeframe from now.

The two outer red lines come from the past. The rest are Fibo lines and half in between them

oh.. :nerd: .. i don't have enough history data to see before jun-2002. but the earliest coincidence i see with this horizontal trendlines you draw is with the monthly opening of jan-2005. - astounding -

What's your EU view for the day? Today we have US and GBP bank holiday. I'm still holding EU and GU long, just before out + with AU long.

idk, just closed my short since pa returned to 1.36 .. i'm starting to change my mind towars a bullish bias; will be placing SL @ 1.358x but waiting first for a retest of 1.359x.

Thank you so much for your response. I completely understand your position now, as far as your being a swing trader. I never noticed that for swingers EUR/USD hasn't given you guys the chance to pick a bottom. I trade using fibs + smaller tf so its easy to see my perception of the market is much different then the rest posting here. I will keep an eye on your post, and I'll try to see if I can learn something from your form of trading.

Monthly, weekly, and daily timeframes are all red which is why I'm short. Looking for 1.3550 within next 24 hours. 1.3623 buy stop.

Retail traders also biased long this pair.

Most times gman is like the Oracle at Delphi, which was high on ethylene (according to wikipedia). I dunno what gman is high on, but my interpretation (looking at the 4H) is below. If your (or mine) empire falls, it wouldn't be the first time, and we have no one else to blame but ourselves.

1. tin foil hat theory has this move so far at 404 pips: from the last high to the current low. tin foil hat theory (TFHT) says the retrace is min 50%, so that's where the 202 comes from
2. also TFHT: the previous move up from 3773 to 3992 should have also retraced min 50%..that's 3883 (for me, but brokers differ) before it reaches the opposite 3992-3773=219. 3773-219=3554 (again brokers differ).
3. Since the above retracement hasn't happened it was risky but reasonable to long near the low and put stops to be as soon as possible.
4. we haven't had a min 50% retracement since the high so bears are strong, once we have it, it is acceptable to short (higher).
