I'm sorry TAH, but after spending some weeks here, i've noticed nobody follows these rules you talk about.. so when i hear you reference the manuals it's a bit hypocritical of what is actually done by traders here.

Who are the hypocritical? The ones who wrote the manual and try to stick with it? Or those that came later and don't care? Sounds like you are trying to justify ignoring the Sonic R. System basic Classic trade in favor of whatever else you decide to do.

Surely you must be familiar with the expression "Two wrongs don't make a right."

I give some latitude to "position builders" here because it can work if you are careful. Plus, it is a really good way to learn all the mistakes you can make with PVSRA. And, no doubt sometimes Scouts entered when trades are red can be helpful. But, like Sonic says, and Post #1 iterates, one has to have done a really good PVSRA and be very cautious when doing so by, not by just picking highs/lows accentuated with PVA candles/volumes, but by waiting for following PA to confirm it is now most likely to be moving again in the direction of the trade.

Pure "position building" cannot be successful by simply throwing entries at every PVA accentuated high or low. That is a receipt for disaster. Traders can think the top is made, or the bottom is made, and find out quite differently later, after PA has continued to move in same direction. And, if it were all that easy to pick tops and bottoms, why do most traders lose their money? We cannot know how the price will move next. Yes, it is a method that works, but it is one that does not come naturally to new traders, who think more of making few large entries than of making many small entries.

Time will tell how all this works out.

Re-read the manual!
DRAGON
Must be angled up with PA above it for longs, and angled down with PA below it for shorts.

TREND
This is a market bias indicator and it is best if PA is above it for longs and below it for shorts.

AUDUSD:

Great comments about the Dragon and Trend, AdrianC.

Aside from the Dragon-Trend considerations, just take a look at PA S&R, and with knowledge of the USD releases coming. We all know the USD is strengthening, so the greater likelihood is that AU will go down. And we can see some S&R areas that the robber banks might push the price up to first, so they can get better shorts. And any price push up is not necessarily limited to happening before the releases. The deceiving & thieving MMs might put on another Whip & Whack show today, maybe taking price briefly above the upper whole number/RDH in order to create shorting liquidity.

So, if the MMs hike the price, and depending on how high, a proper Classic long could work out. But a better trade might be short trade, later. Or, we could trade both ways today!

Thanks for the infomation. I'm with Team Bear.
Yes, we do see some bullish background on H4's pin. (Secret of Sonic R)
However the volume increases when hitting the demand zone (0.936x).
So Buy Low, Sell High. Nobody knows how the price move next.
Lets wait and see!

Don't lump us all together. For example, aside from the Asian session trade I tried to help do as an example (of what not to do as it rightfully was), if you examine all the trades I started and finished this week, you will see Classics, quite the contrary to your supposition. And, very profitable, too, I might add.

there is no holy grail here. 123 breakouts been traded by ppl since a long time ago.. whatever niche or advantage it has, has been diminished by much. adding trend or dragon or pvrsa doesnt really add much to it, where there will be ppl doing the classic 1-2-3 and the other side, which takes advantage of it, ie wait for 1-2-3 breakout or reversal, and pile on the other side (with mroe volume) and watch it reverse. Seen this scenario played out quite a bit. 123 break out, goes 20 pips, reverses another 40 pips. Guess who made more money? 20 pips or 40 pips? I am now studying the opposite of 1-2-3 trades now. Reason why forex is "tougher" than other asset classes is because all the banks have such huge amount to do daily for their clients and their own derivatives books. its 24/7 and in past couple of years, regulators play such a big role when they speak. Perhaps sonic can work in other places which is "easier"

back to sonic system, so how do you pick the profitable trades? Everyone is guessing here and trying to see what works.

Even when i see the results posted, 1k pips bagged, 2 k pips bagged, very little shared about their 10k pips lost somewhere in between. I trade on a live account with small money so I dont bag these 1k pips.

I do 20-40 pips each time but when it goes against me like gbpjpy (3 weeks ago) it was like 150 pips.. roughly 5 times what i earned.. so to win 5 trades and lose 1 to break even, its still crazy. I find risk management still an issue in this thread. Of course with hindsight, gbpjpy came back, but what if it never came back?

maybe solutions can be found.. peace.. not intending to ruffle feathers, but just stating what i felt after following here. ( i have a low to moderate risk appetite, but yet to blow out any account so still good! lost close to half equity though)

You read something from here, good. But you didn't finish all of them, which is not good.
Understand the real Sonic R System with PVSRA then you will get the beauty of it.
So we the Sonicers appreciate you to do your homework before posting.
Tah's this week intraday trades shows the real essence of Sonic R, don't mind to use your precious golden time to study it.

well unfortunately it lost credibility when i saw the lot sizes and the amount of pips won or lose.

1) his gbpjpy trades - he would have rode a lost of close to 40k and needed a margin of another 40k to maintain the positions. Ppl with that kind of money, dont sit in forums..
2) multiple charts showing diff trades and if you see his other trades, 5 lots here, 15 lots there, need at least another 40-80k .. I want to believe , but maybe its just me to question when ppl accept.
