It's my own doing, i think you know me by now that i trade with a bias that not easily changed ... this doesn't mean the Euro will not pull back more! In fact the cheaper it gets, the more aggressive buying i will be !

*This circus happened last week, by a misinterpreted sentence is giving me back the same trade with the same targets - only 2 or 3% discount! So, by all mean let see the Big bears and their strong convection taking the price as low as it gets.

For the record, i have traded this pair buying & selling countless times! So i'm not stupid enough to be a currency worshiper or a specific country hater..

hmm probably the first time I see this thread bullish on EUR in general. Some months ago this type of discussion would be on if it went up for two days without a retrace. At least I believe some will try the bull side for the first time here, getting long euro when it goes down.

Where are the smart asses who said we have to trade the opposite side of FF positionning, aka we had to long it because majority was short.

Longs took over now, smart asses will probably come back here and say we have to short it.

If you think 500 traders out of hundred of thousands can tell you the direction, you guys are a lost case.

I am sure you hope that someone else is comfortable in June....I feel comfortable buying as long as US bond yields are low and tech stocks take the hit otherwise i am ready to change my mind. Don't believe that Yellen wants or needs a strong dollar in general....and EZ must accommodate that. They have no choice. I see some strength coming back to USD and stock markets in summertime probably from June until August-early September.

I am anticipating 1.37-3680 to be hit and that's my TP
As far as markets not letting EU fall to 1.35 or lower I think it can considering EZ troubles are not solved and USD is gaining ground.
Unemployment down 6.3 Manufacturing up.
USD is not dead. There is usually another side to Euro...
I notice guys who are extremely bullish on Euro never discuss USD side of the pair or mention entire month red numbers on EZ like German manufacturing or continued low inflation.
Lets not overlook Ukraine crises which fueled much of USD sell off and that is tapering now.

Hi Vachus
Kind of surprised by your post.As traders we should not have bias so strong that it clouds everything else including fundamentals and charts.
Markets can take Euro 1.35 as easily as it can go to 1.40.
I am always in temperament that there is strong X factor which nobody knows the future.

Hey Davit, congratulation on the recent endeavor ...
On the bias thing, i know it can hurts but this is no blind bias driven by favoritism or some type of wishful thinking, it's simply a convection was built up during the last 6 months. I may be right, or wrong - only time will tell.

There are three reasons why the Euro has to surge:

1- Every time the ECB cut interest rates, markets respond buying the Euro ... the last rate cut, the Euro traded at $1.35 before the announcement!

2- Even if the ECB announces ' EU monetary easing' as aggressive as the Japanese program, markets will respond by buying the Euro again ... Why?! Because European markets is not like the American ones, the ECB has to do it through the Banks. Just like Carney did in Britain! They keep on printing money, while the pound surges. Fair enough, no?! What was the effect of the latest LTRO ( Long Term refinancing operation) .. last LTRO was introduced when the Euro traded as low as $1.27

3- Feds or Janet Yellen has no interest what so ever, in a strong Dollar .. first you get a strong and robust recovery, then talk about interest rates! The fact that for the last three years, QE topped 3 trillion dollars while Core inflation is ridiculously low tells you exactly, what type of recovery is happening there!

So, come June 2014 - The ECB does nothing, Euro surges
He cut the Interest rates, two days and yeap Euro surges
He introduce QE, the Euro surges

Market goes nuts, selling the Euro hard and pulling up the U.S Dollar while banging the American equity ... well, Yellen will take care of it and yes - the Euro surges.


So, when i said before 1.40 - 1.42 - 1.47 i have reasons, and fucking awesome ones

If 1) you think ECB won't do any massive QE or even act in June and 2) you agree that range trading is the most likely outcome for EURUSD

Then its easy to see how we will be again trading at the euro highs.

Something worth considering
Clear resistance breaking monthly 61.8 level.Notice 50% =35
Very likely retrace.On intellectual level you are correct we are in up trend but there are huge retraces as well.
I trade swings.To me trend is irrelevant.

To me it really depends on the QE they come up with. If its big enough, euro will devalue. Pound is going up because there is enough speculation that its over-heating on the housing front so BoE must start tightening a bit.

Anyway the thought of ECB doing QE is just very unlikely.
