Closed my trades early. 3 hours before what the system asks for. Monitored it and decided to close. AJ +7 GJ +25. Also opened a trade for EA +4 around 10AM time, but decided to close all trades. If i kept it open one hour longer everything would have been sour.

Gold -20, -20, +60, +60, EJ + 15

Gold had been chopping back and forth so when M15 showed possible consolidation, bailed out. Left desk for a couple of hours to find that price would have reached both my targets of 100 and 150pips! Argh! When I leave trades alone, I get stopped out. When I bail out, price reaches my target.

Entered EJ late, so just grabbed what I could.

Made this trade on GBP / JPY H1. Take Profit of 50 pips was hit Reasons for entry: TDI cross and support zone.
My SL was 50 pips, and my trailling stop was 21 pips. Entered this trade and went to university. When I came home I saw my TP was hit. That was a nice "forget" trade.

I wanted to post it earlier but at the moment I have a bad internet connection here ;(

I do have a candlestick scanner/alert for various types of candlesticks patterns, for example Pin Bar, Engulfging Bar, etc. This is separate from the ones used in VSA study.
I am very new to VSA study and found some basics which I apply to my trading TMS 5-Method. The reversals using thrust bar and volume add wieght to high probability setups. The GBPAUD trade this week is a good example. That trade ran 8 canldes and still running.

Thanks for the article at dukacopy website. Good read and confirms my study so far.

GBPJPY week19 POMO:

If you sold GBPJPY using H4 yesterday, you could have sold into support in a narrow range market type.

Very good trade in my opinion.
There was consolidation and you pick the direction correctly with TDI Green PL above Red TSL above Yellow MBL....this is very important when we trade in lower timeframes and to pick the high probability setups.

Hi cmk,

Trading TMS requires some discretion on the part of the trader. The more experience the better the trader becomes.

When I develop TMS 5-Method into my own winning system, my focus is in post#261 by eelfranz.

Learning and building upon that post#261 alone, I look for Reversal and Continuation Patterns using both Candlestick study and Chart Pattern study taught by two experts - Thomas Bulkowski and Steve Nison. I made severel posts in this thread with materials attached. Please look for them in the attachments.

What is also important is that I beleive in trading Price Action with Support and Resistance PASR There are many different school of thought on Support and Resistance by different forex coaches and expert technical anaylysts. For me, I learn from babypips.com how to indentify Support and Resistance and I adopted that method consistently throughout when I develop my own winning system using TMS 5-Method as the core. It is not a holy grail method but what I feel is more important is to apply a proven method consistenlty over a longer time and let the results prove itself.

When we combine the use of these knowledge and look for trade setups, these should be sufficient to tell us what a A+++ high probability trade setup is for us to make a quick simple trade decision and pull that trigger with confidence.

This TMS 5-Method is indeed a very simple technical method to trade. But to make our trading simple, we need to have the knowledge and experience and combine with a proven money managerment strategy and make that into a winning system.

Great post emmanuel. I am just starting out on this system and have read up on it but you covered it all along with the basics that is always good to reread for affirmation.

Could one of the more experience users of tms please tell me what you think about the current crosses on the 4H that have been largely caused by news? They are great according to tms rules and on the right side of MBL but would you say they have already moved too much to enter trades?
