JPM is a manipulator as most IBs are. In fact there was a research that tracked all their calls, and pretty much you'd be in big profit if you picked the opposite direction.

1,3885 is a low risk sell (10 pips) for 1,3768 as a target, there I would buy 1,3761 area for 1,4047 target(also monthly R)
Trade balance could push things forward tomm.

I agree. Hum... Most aren't in the market because we're wiser or poorer. A big WFT move is brewing. I'm trading less and with smaller size just to be safe.

Tapering is still buying ... its just buying less.

The question isn't if the fed is going to taper, it is when they are going to wrap up business in the markets. As soon as they announce an official timeline with criteria for being done with QE, I think that will start the next wave in the market. Until then, S&P can still blow off the 2,000 tops and consolidate for a while.

As long as it doesn't move up above 1.3890
then it must come down one day.

The EuRUsD will break lower when the majority is long and break higher when majority is short.

USD shaping up but I dont think the bear trend will be broken this year, maybe 4th quarter might happen but doesnt look like one of those things that will just bounce back suddenly.

still cant see how theres some pundits saying this NFP wasnt good....

seperate the data from the market reaction... the data was good enough until the USD and yields reversed. Then there was all the rationalizing to say it wasnt good.


" omg look at the labor force participation rate".... yea its at the same level it was in october, so? Yellen already said this was structural.


"omg no wage growth".... If baby boomers with higher paying jobs are retiring, and the people coming in at the bottom end are getting paid less... that doesn't reflect slack in the work force. Millennials are simply willing to accept lower wages because they have a ton of student debt. This type of thing was VERY common in banking where older guys got let go and they bring in analysts and associates and paid us crap(and expected longer hours worked). Its not 'slack' its demographically driven wage declines where companies strategically shift down the entire pay scale.

Lol yeah I also saw the change of narrative after market reversed NFP gains. I was like "wtf.. so they now say it was bad..". Market dedictates what these guys will say, it was a good NFP number nevertheless, it was amazingly good

it could be an outlier, and could mean revert back to sub-200 levels next time around. market awaiting for a confirm that this is a real deal. having a look at historical data could indicate that we have maxed out with this report.

I belong to the group that believes growth is accelerating over in the US, so I don't view that as peak-NFP and sell USD signal. It can sustain long periods of good NFP numbers.
I think in the end it was just how intraday position was going into a risk-off headlines from Ukraine, it caused bigger USD selling, yen buying. If EUR was being hold more intraday and the same Ukraine headlines would hit the market, EUR would sold off more, yen buying and EURUSD would move lower.

Steven Englander at Citi just sent out this graph, its a picture of overall wages then another for around 80% of all US workers. The 2nd graph is the people that actually work in production and non supervisory roles. Their wages are rising. The picture is much different when you take out the top end of the work force, the CEOs, management folks, consultants etc.

Especially all the investment bank folks that make a realtively huge chunk of the total income. Those guys are getting paid way less and working longer hours.
