keep in mind though, volume today is still extremely low and has been over the past three weeks. Even with NFP, and all of todays movement the amount of volume traded on DXY is only quivalent to a NORMAL day's average over the period prior to april.

today isnt over yet but nfp and the fix has passed. the majority of volume is done.

why China does not wait for the euro to drop lower to buy it cheaper?

When you have that much flow you basically have to just snipe moments of high liquidity. Like the stop loss runs thru 1.3790 recently or during news releases. You cant just buy dips because you will never get done. Liquidity windows are short and narrow and only exists on a large enough scale during very specific moments. Just getting the flow done becomes the priority, versus getting specific opportunistic levels.
