First trade just taken on gbpaud. A nice heiken ashi doji backed up by a trendline and just above the 1.81 level. The stop is about 70 pips as gbpaud has quite a high atr.

This shows how a different broker looks compared to yours. Mine is Oanda. The stocks don't get near the 68 line on my chart.

Yes, there will be differences between brokers. It still looks like a reasonable trade. The stochs don't have to go all the way down. I'm sure it will give another pullback before long anyway.

Just come back from a nice spot of lunch and gbpaud is up about 60 pips so far. Euraud and audusd going the same way naturally. I like the look of audusd for a short when the next 4 hour candle closes but I won't take it as I like to stick to one pair at a time.

I've moved the first entry on gbpaud to break even because it is over 70 pips up. My initial risk was 70 pips so it makes sense to move to break even now. I will let this run now and I am interested in when the next pullback will occur. At this point I wouldn't be too surprised to see this get knocked out at break even but if it is then that will be a strong pullback and so would be more than likely to give us another clear entry. I'll keep this updated as we go along.

Just over 100 pips up this morning so still going nicely. There is GBP news out at 9.30 gmt + 1 so that could give it a push either way.

Euraud and audusd moving nicely too. Euraud has just broken the 1.50000 level. A pullback to that level would be a fantastic trade.

Thanks. I trade live and demo. I have various accounts I use for different strategies and although most of my trading is live I still use demo for testing purposes.

You need to trade in the direction of a good trend. What trades have you taken? Can you show some charts?

Hello Ed

What do you think of using ATR (20) x 1.5 or 2 to determine the stop loss for each pair?

You can do but better to put the stop behind the last swing rather than use an arbitrary amount.

Gbpaud out at break even overnight. All 3 pairs pulling back nicely though, should be another entry today. I'll take the best looking turn. I like Audusd with the 0.93 level.

Back in Gbpaud, 80 pip stop just below the last swing. Euraud looks reasonable too but still got that 1.5000 level to get over. Audusd not looking quite as convincing.

2 hours in and over 70 pips up. I've moved it to break even. I wanted to be break even before the FOMC report tonight as it can cause some wild moves.
