Out with a 20 pip loss. I'll wait for the next decent pullback.

All Aud pair setups are invalidated. The expected Aud weakness just didn't materialise. The whole operation cost me 100 pips. When you consider a good trend can make 1000+ it's not a big deal. Just got to wait for the next setup now.

Note that I am waiting for the weekly trends and not taking any other trades at the moment. That's not to say that there won't be good individual trades that can be taken with the basic pattern, it's just that I am looking for the bigger runs these days. In the meantime if I spot anything worth taking I'll post it.

Actually, just spotted this one. Audcad is still below the 100 sma on the 4 hour and valid on the weekly. A lot depends on what happens at the 100 sma now. I'll be watching.

Hello Ed I missed this one as it is a pair that I don't normally look at. Maybe I need to look at more pairs. Which one's do you monitor?

Well I will consider any pair but I've been watching aud pairs particularly because of the weekly charts.

Not blazing a trail here. News weakened the Cad but it looks like the 100 sma is holding it in so far. This could go either way really, just have to wait and see. I'm looking around for any other weekly charts setting up and I'll update on Sunday night.

Not much changed over the weekend, just going sideways below the 100 sma at the moment. It will go one way or the other sooner or later.

In the meantime here are a few more interesting charts.

Eurnzd needs to make a convincing push down and then pullback for me to be interested.

Gbpusd probably needs another week to show a direction. Gbp has been strong recently but looks like it could be about to pullback on the weekly.

Gbpcad is similar but cad seems to be strengthening better. On the 4 hour it is pulling back quite nicely. If it turns well it could be worth getting on.

Just about to close this gbpcad short. A quick 140 pips, got two to one on it but I notice I forgot to call it live. Typical. I'm just taking the money on this one as gbp is a fairly strong pair at the moment.

A bit of news for you... I will be starting a trade explorer soon with a small live account. I need to free up some funds from my other accounts as most of it is tied up in automated trading systems but I will probably start with a couple of thousand and add a bit more as I go along. I notice that trade explorers on live accounts are rare on the commercial content section and those that are posted are usually fairly short lived so this will be interesting.

Also I am going to reopen my forum as a better method to communicate what I am trading and what I am watching, chart analysis, etc. It will be free to register at the site but the members only area where the best information will be is going to be around $10 a month to subscribe to. In addition I will be offering basic training in forex trading for around $50 for a 3 or 4 hour session.

I will post information here as soon as I have finalised a few details. In the meantime if you are reading this and haven't a clue what all this is about here is a link to my kindle ebook...

While I'm in the process of setting up my new forum, etc I will put some trades up. I closed the eurgbp at about break even and in the meantime lost 56 pips on a eurnzd trade. I'm currently short gbpjpy and it's going sideways but still looks like it may go my way. I've attached my trade explorer to this thread too. It's a small live account to demonstrate the system.

Gbpjpy 60 pips up and break even. There is some gbp news out in just over an hour that could make or break this trade. It's trading below a 100 level at the moment so if it can stay below that level then I will hold it and if it is still below that level after the news then I will move the stop down to just above that level and lock in some profit,

Gbp pairs pushing up strongly so I doubt gbpjpy will survive the news unless something drastic happens. I took this usdcad short on the close/open of the candle. A 20 pip stop so adjusted the position size accordingly.

I like the look of this. Another hour until my candle close so I'll see how it looks then.
