4H and Daily Channels still upwards. Putin and his desire of the borders moving from his troops are affecting the bulls of USDJPY with the JPY as a save haven but JPY will be affected by the rise to the 8% consumer tax on the short term. And will the desire of BOJ to have a 2% inflation to create room for stimulus and get rid of the long term deflation work? It is a spin to create artificial inflation so the interest will go up to create room for some stimulus in the future as the interest can't go any lower since donkeys ages. At least that is the theory. Very interesting to watch the practical side unfold...

But if you have a closer look, or God beware combine mine/his chart and yours
sould it be, both of us have the same picture. Maybe wronng but a hint in this plus minus game.

Realy, you have to use, diagonal trendlines.
Starting using them is like a 110 % boost from now to next !!

Thanks Toranaga. As you can see for the 200 pips and more (trail) trending periods it is still very choppy going in and out the EMA34 (GRaB) band and it being wide on the charts. Got to be very careful still with large scale on this pair. Cheers

Yes, in reality we all see the same price data, or relatively the same price data plotted over time, it is our believes of what price will do next is how we see it through our own individual eyes. Diagonal trendlines are nice when you get them however lining them up to a point can be ricky and subjective IMO and should only be used as a last resort. Not for taking trades off.

Sorry for my lazy language there(boredom), but that was the mood I was in while typing. Gold is starting to rebound and US markets are down. A string of good data out of USA and bulls couldn't even overcome 102.7x (unemployment levels still plague USA) ..... there is some decent monthly support, but this girl wants to head towards 100.x and with lingering tensions of Russia/Ukraine....I SAY LETS BRING HER TO HELL!

So, there is intervention since the beginning of the year to maintain Yen weakness.

I think the current confrontation with Russia will cause them to throw in the towel, as far as weakening the Yen is concerned. And we will see USDJPY under 100.00 in the near term. It might even hit 90.00 depending on how far Russia/West is willing to take the fight.

its never about right or wrong... its about knowing the level and how you adapt to change..

my thought UJ still in a good sign of creating small uptrend (if) they don't break 23.6 fibo retrace (and if) they do break we will see new downtrend coming ahead... lets just ride along and make some money

The smooth stochastic is still racing down to oversold on the daily and might confirm the channel plugin near 101.4
As long as it is bouncing and not trending this stochastic setting works reasonably well to confirm entries/exits/reversals
It also looks like the EMA34 wave left the 2-4 confusion (distribution) period and is pointing to 3 o'clock again that means accumulation. So the stochastic might turn before oversold and shoot up again following the 4-hour channel. Will keep a sharp eye on the lower time frames.

JPY retail sales tomorrow as fundamental and of course Mr. Putin his impact.

Does it matter what people think but where's your short entry and will hold to target 90.00 (over 1,000 pips)? I don't think so

Chart wise not difficult to post 105.00 -110.00 or 100.00 - 90.00 but totally different story to trade. Analyst Vs. Trader.

Will I hold it to 90.00? I don't know, I have to analyze it as it falls

That's what traders do... unless you are gambling...

I am asking what people think because, last time I checked, this was an internet forum... exchange of ideas and what not.

Look, I got you one time... let it go. I am right at times and I am wrong some others... it happens. I don't take it personally and I advise you not to either.
