Guys, This past month, most pairs are ranging, and this is not good for Basket and or Daily trading, so most are going down to the 4hr and 1hr to find some "trends" so that they can make some pips.
Im sticking with my Daily's mainly because they always trend nicely when they move, and you will make way more pips trading the daily's, this should be the Financial Foundation of your trading Business.
So while the daily's are ranging, im now going to setup my charts on another account and trade the Range on the Lower TF, now there are no TRENDS on the lower TF, never has been and never will be any, what you are doing is trading the Range, sell at the top of Range and buy at the bottom of range.
You will be caught when the Trends start on the Daily's, and this is why you should always be looking at the Daily charts, it is always safer trading the Range in the direction of the dominant Daily Trend.
Until we as traders realise this, we will continually shot ourselves in the foot.
I have learned the hard way.

Agreed Steadyincome.
Higher timeframes = generally nice trends = generally more pips.

I am currently trading JPY, GBP, EUR baskets in ranging circumstances, with mixed success.
Down 200 something pips this week, even though Iīve closely monitored my baskets.

Hopefully the new version of the EA will bring the modified functionality of the BO/PO, which will make it easier to trade ranging...

The spread jumps around and there is delay as to when the trade is taken and the screen shot is taken, so the spread was probably within range when the trade was taken and since Entry 0 conditions were met the trade was taken.

Guys, The amazing part of the Ea is this, when some decent trends start, the Pips will be truly huge.
I using the Basket writer v2 at this moment, I know it has bugs, but im still trying, and so far it is going good.
We need to be able to pick the Pairs that are going in the same direction consistently, being a random pick is no where good enough.
So check the Daily and Weekly for each pair the is chosen by the BWv2, and only consider the pairs that are trending in your chosen TF, so in a ranging market only use the 4hr and 1hr charts if the Weekly and Daily are going in the same direction, and with practice we will be able to see the retrace trades and trend trades for what they truly are, and at this point we shall not be novices any more, but on our way to becoming real traders.
I write this for my benefit also, because I need to see the whole picture, and the last piece of the puzzle for me has been learning the difference between the Range and Trend and when they start and finish, the second last lesson was Money Management, for when you start making money ( Like I have), you need to understand the risk you are currently using, if you do not the the smartest traders on the planet will take all your profits and capitol.
Im finding that this thread has helped me a lot.

Glad to see that you are doing well with your trades, Basket_Writer_v3 should be out this weekend, I have already done the video but have one more change to make to the EA before I post it, I think you will like the new changes.

One change I forgot to mention in the video is when you create a "Manual" basket with the buttons the list is now in the order of the button selection, before it was always in alphabetical order.

USDXAU and USDMXN rank top.
Using correlation of >.8, I have found the following 2 baskets of "exotics";

USDXAU
USDXAG

Hi seller9,

I have loaded Basket Writer V3 on a 15min chart, and it loaded successfully, but the top left area above the buttons are blank, I will test again tomorrow after market open, thanks for your continued efforts.
