Just to get an idea, how many pairs does everyone here monitor? I have all 28 major pairs and crosses up on my screen and it doesn't take too long to go through them quickly to see if the TDI has crossed/bounced at candle open but I am looking to cut down on the ones I monitor. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You are correct, Babypips is great to give yourself a foundation to build your knowledge off! It won't make you a successful trader though. You will need to dig a bit deeper.

TMS is a great basic system to start with and potentially build something big from!

Hi Kanderpro,
I have studied his posts...he just seemed like an honest guy trying to give interested people a deeper understanding of what FX trading is all about using TMS as the backbone. I am really not sure what he gained from it.
I had a look over his charts and he is using the basic TMS chart... every time! More so than some of the other PRO's here!
Yes he mentioned the EA lately which is very interesting but as I don't use EAs it doesn't affect me.

Anyway, I guess we all see and read what we want.

Another week, another dollar ----- no daily trade for me today.

As expected a slow day and in any event it is always a little tricky to open a daily trade on Monday

this week im going to switch to a broker that has a new candle 8am uk time, and 12pm, and be flat at the 4pm uk candle

i think that by the time london gets going you can see momentum in the pairs that will be making moves. closing at 4pm is fine for me as its at the end of the NY/LON overlap and moves still tend to have steam during 12-4pm

Last week GBPUSD 4h trade +80 pips
Pin bar confirmed by tdi cross(No convincing angle but pin bar was strong) and with overall daily trend.

Hi, new here (from RJ's thread, going to study another system while honing my Genesis skills). At 1 hour prior to LO, was there an entry for long with GJ? I thought the angle was good (TDI between 1-3 o'clock). Any reason why it wasn't good? I also entered the EA daily, this one was questionable.

Please post your chart, I can't see any setups, either H1 or H4

Hunter,

According to TMS system, entry should be on candle 1 or 2 following a colour change. Since HA candles average a run of 3-8 candles, entering on candle 1 or 2 stacks the odds in your favour. The red line on your chart is on the third blue candle so this would be an invalid entry according to the TMS rules. Clearly the trade looks like its working out in your favour in this case but just something to bear in mind

Hi GilR, with all due respect looking from the outside i think Steve as well as everybody else wants to see your trade go positive for you but i can see that he was just trying to help you with patience, being a quiet day due to holidays he strikes me as being somebody that waits for A+ set ups, nothing wrong with that.
