The Ichimoku cloud suggests an uptrend, so I think I'd have been looking for a long entry on EJ.

With regard to TMS, candles very week, not much liquidity or momentum today due to holidays. There was a bearish crossover on the TDI but it was very shallow.

It seems really complicated for such an easy tool. Do you want only 5 first hours of Tokyo and rest disabled?

Hi Tim,

Yes, I would like to use only first 5 hours for Tokyo session but have no problem to put 8 hours of trading in the settings if 5 hours too complicated as you mentioned. I am more worried about my current start and end timing on the indicator for each session.

I just wanted to know if I have used the correct open and close for each session considering GMT+3 .

This might help for configuring the indicator

That session indicator works fine on my GMT = 0 account, but struggling with FXDD. Seems to be some bug if the asian session straddles midnight.

I just finished updating my sessions indi so it calculates the hours automatically. There are no options for X first hours or X last hours of the session yet, but I can tinker a bit soon and add that, it shouldn't be difficult.
I'm GMT+1, my broker is GMT-4 but it doesn't adjust to DST, everything works fine. It should work no matter what, but I'd be grateful if someone can test it and let me know.

(Info: automatically calculated session hours, shows the correct number of bars in a session (instead of 1 too many), includes high/low of the first bar in a session, doesn't draw bugged weekend boxes, doesn't draw boxes for D1 timeframe and bigger, possible to draw boxes for all the days (for backtesting), doesn't redraw every box on each tick - only updates the last (current) one)

Thanks timginter. Seems to be spot on! FXDD compared to IG Index. I've set New York and Sydney to 'no colour' as I only want Tokyo and London on the chart

The problem with the hours is that all except Tokyo are changing with DST, but only related to Tokyo, not to each other (if your local time adjusts to DST). London session always opens at 8am when you are in London. The hours from London for London, New York, Sydney, Tokyo during summer should be: 8:00, 13:00, 22:00, 1:00, from London during winter: 8:00, 13:00, 22:00, 2:00. If your local time changes with DST add your GMT offset, i.e. I'm in GMT+1 zone and we adjust to DST, so my session times during summer are: 9:00, 14:00, 23:00, 2:00. During winter: 9:00, 14:00, 23:00, 3:00. Now add/subtract the difference between your local time and your broker time and you are good to go

Where do you adjust the offset because I have a gmt +0 broker and its showing 8am instead of 7 for London and 13:00 instead of 12 noon for NY.

because we over complicate the whole thing.....
i am lucky enough to spend if I wish all day every day trading the London as I have the time to do so and therefore learn at an accelerated rate, but having said that.... I am willing to admit .. I am still learning even after two years or more .... I have loaded just about every indicator thinking it may help..... And do you know what, rip them all off and try the basic rules, ok so you do need to know some stuff, but you don't need to learn it in the 36000 posts on here !Just the first few hundred and trot off to babypips.com or somewhere like that ... To learn the rest.....

you really don't need to know what is on here just now, apart from people like PHX 62, Bizzle etc...
Do yourself a massive favour ... Only ask for help from the people that are "TRADING MADE SIMPLE "
