I hope I can help you out here. Change the settings in the indicators, it does nothing to change them in only the EA. Change a setting in I_XO1 and watch the settings in the EA window. You will see it change to match the new setting in your indicator.

Sold #C5# basket at 14:27 GMT.
Initial stop loss = 50 pips.
Manual trade on 15 minute chart.
Comments: HAS and I-XO-A-H color change in agreement.

Edit:
Trade closed at 15:15 GMT.
Time in trade: 48 minutes.
Gross P/L = +108 pips.
Manual trade closure via dynamic adjustment of TP line according to price action.
Comments: Profit target achieved.

Nice one Eagle85.

I have finally managed to sort the settings, thanks to MMGood47īs suggestion.
Thought that the settings only needed to be applied to the EA and that the indis would automatically take over these settings...
Hitting myself on the head to have overlooked this.

Anyway, the "BOB basket", JPY basket, and CHF basket are all set for trading live.

Will keep you guys posted how I am getting on !

Please, by all means, test it on DEMO first. If an instrument becomes choppy, as they sometimes do for a while, you gonna cry.

Also, you should notice that some metals move not like others. That's why i use different timeframes, to get the picture i like.

The basic idea is to get the kind of settings that enable you to control trades and take decisions easily (about exits and SL placements)

Since a couple of weeks Iīm watching this thread from the sideline , and it looks really intresting .

I will test the metals on demo first for a couple of weeks, just like I did with forex baskets.

well so far this week i'm down -800 pips since sunday.. i'm starting to get pissed off. JPY basket is being a piece of crap at the moment, so i'm switching to the USD crosses

I'm in the USD4 too, its not much better. But you're right, the JPY7 is not nice to us at the moment.

Right now another green IXO2 comes up, I deny to get this short closed and switched my IXO2 to 1230 again. Maybe it survive the night. The last short from yesterday is still what I want this basket to do. Short, nothing else. I think I'll swich the long button of for now. I do not believe in a stronger JPY at this time.

Just my opinion.

well i think we are coming out of some trends and starting to range a bit before another breakout. sucks cause it's huge losses in range

Based on the Japan economy/signals the JPY should go down but due to the Ukrainien conflict the JPY should go up.
In my opinion this is why the JPY is still in a range.
I'll try not to trade the JPY basket in this period of uncertainties.

You guys might want to look at shorting the CHF basket, looks as if itīs going South again after a retrace.

I was in the BOB7 yesterday and make some pips, but have not looked at it today. Is it looking good on the long? USD4, CHF6, and JPY7 I believe will continue on its short trend after the ranging. Of course that's as long as nothing really stupid happens in the Ukraine. I'm up with the USD4. I also think the JPY7 is just in its cycle of ranging, it will come out soon. The news coming from Ukraine yesterday and today did not cause it to freak out in any one long direction. Ukraine has sent troops into eastern country to challenge the takeover, that is what it is, just call it the way you see it.
Anyway, I have an idea to manually trade through the ranging. Put in horizontal channel lines and jump in long after it bottoms to the south side of the channel, then do the reverse when it tops out at the top. You have to watch it and use SL 30 - 50 pips outside of the channels. That way when the ranging is over and new trend gets established, you will take a little lose, but will have ID the new trend and jump in. There is a 300 to 400 pips movement between the channels with the JPY7. So by getting in manually at the tops and bottoms of the channels you could pick up 400 to 1000+++ pips. That depends on how long and consistent the movement is within the channel. I'm working it with the JPY7. Of course looking at the screen shot I did not get in at the top, but the middle. My mistake, but will wait it out to bottom or just continue on with the short trend. But if it turns north again, I will get out with profit and take a long (manually). Just an idea!

very simple answer, i've been in and out of USD4, JPY7 in the past 2 days.. all range and lots of losses.. i've got nothing left to lose, might as well try whatever basket looks good.


i don't trade manually anymore, i get nailed every time i do. I let the robot decide nowadays and i keep my finger off the trigger
