Thanks Das Ist Gut. Will give it a go !

I decided to give the EA a go on a real account.
Put it on (Roger7777´s settings, no intervention) Sydney open after the weekend, a disaster.
Here´s the screenshots, any feedback appreciated...

Sorry, I mixed the screenshots of the JPY short.

Here´s the correct ones;

I have a JPY long that´s still open, and 70 pip negative, I´m holding my breath...

FLX69, those are not my settings for the JPY7 basket. My IXO1 and 2 settings are 660 and 960, HAS 2-4-2-1. Entry = IXO's direction and exit = IXO2 cross. The whole idea is return on the long run. You will lose a little, but overall you will come out ahead. Its working for me, patience!!!! Check your settings. As for the other chart, you need to alien the IXO's to HAS starting back about a week of history. Now this concept only works on baskets that has minimum ranging and pairs that are not effected to much by news. That's why the JPY7 works so well. We all know that ranging will kill you no matter what system you are using. You have that option to get out when you get into a range, or ride it out. I lost a little late last week and last night on the JPY7 but I will get it back +++ on the next solid trend. Which for the JPY7 is not that far off, it trends often. Someone made a very good point last week, the common cycle for a pair and more so the baskets is a up trend, then a down trend, then a range, then through the cycle again, and again... Or, some combination of the three. I have been messing around with our new toy provided by Seller9, trying to find the next JPY7 basket (little ranging, minimum effect by news, clean crisp trends (long ones). That's where the pips are! Here is one that I call the BOB7 (EURAUD, EURCAD, EURCHF, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURNZD, EURUSD). It is trending very nicely south. I'm giving this as an example of my points I'm making here. I'm up from this morning, but I would think twice before jumping in this one... just don't know how far it will go. The idea is to find baskets like this, the USD4, the JPY7 and get in at the beginning of a trend... after a range and ride that wave to shore! I hope this helps. Notice the setting of the HAS, IXO's on this screen shot. You have to adjust the settings to fit the basket. Have a nice day.

Many thanks for your feedback.
Some observations:

1. My IXO1 and 2 settings in the EA are 660 and 960, but for some strange reason they don´t show up as such. I´ve tried all sorts, to no avail...
I´ll start from scratch to try if they show correctly, once my JPY basket closes.

2. HAS 2-4-2-1: I had taken the "last" values you posted a dozen pages back, but will change to the "new" ones

3. My entry/exit settings are IXO 1 & 2 direction, respectively IXO2 cross

4. I know ranging´s a killer, I now realize that starting the EA on a real account Sydney open after the weekend was certainly not one of my most brilliant ideas...

One query regarding your BOB screenshot: I presume this is a manual trade ?
Or are your EA settings on this basket w/o TP & SL ?

Attached a fresh EA (v20), manually inputting suggested IXO & HAS settings

This is the result. Am I overlooking sth ? Maybe I should wait for candle close to reflect the settings ?
I´ll leave it as is for 12h and see what shows...

No, when you input what ever settings it should reflect on the EA. Unless you do not have "Enable Indicator Link" set to "true". If that is so, maybe try refreshing MT4 by shutting down MT4 with everything loaded and reopening, but do stop EA first.

All excellent points,

I just wanted to add my two cents in.. if you cannot get in right at the beginning of a trend.. just jump in at any point. 70% of the time you will lose on that first basket position because it's probably either already half way through and ready to turn, or because it's ranging... but then you will be already in line for the next move and so on and so forth.. like jumping into double dutch. Eventually you will end up on the right side. take a small hit, or if you are lucky take a nice gain and then you will be already in for the long run

Also to add... it's good to know we already have a plan in place.. we just need the patience to ride out the ranging days and wait for the trending days.

Now to find the missing piece of the puzzle on how to avoid the ranging days but still be able to get in the trending days... hmmmmmm....

was from yesterday in long jpy7'h4(manualy), but today i found that 5 of 7 pairs was close automatic buy the ea, with 0 profit...now i have just 2 pairs in long, gbpjpy and chfjpy..

whay they close?

sometimes the ea is freezing and it's showing you that some of the pairs are still open but instead they are not. stop the robot and then open it to check this.
Also check the "files" folder to see if you have an image with your closing basket. If this ea parameter is activ and the basket closed at the BE then you should have a image there.
