Why do certain traders trade 1H and certain traders trade the 4H? I back test the 4H entry that I made, when zoom down to 1H, the TDI had crossed earlier and closed below/above the 5ema, meaning more ++pips compared to 4H.

Do we trade 1H when it's trending?

Thought I'd post a link to a useful video I watched recently on this subject.

Inserted Video

The video is made by Rick (Dcginc on FF) who trades "TMS core method" professionally and is well worth a watch if you haven't already seen it.
Focus on the process and the profits will follow

{quote} Thank you for the setting. I have no idea what's the problem with my settings? My intention is to Use_CandleTrail_HL only, thus I switched everything to false except CandleTrailHL. Standard TP = 75 Standard SL = 40 Use_CandleTrailHL = true, Activation = 1pip However, I got the modify pop up for every single tick. Anything wrong with my settings? Appreciate your help. {file}

I have tested your set file.

No modification pop up error on my mt4, its working fine. Maybe software issue?

All the genius's come out after the fact. The product works well without added toys. Should respect originators request to keep thread as installed. Doesn't need to be bloated into larger method. Should start new threads instead of corrupting workable original ones.

Well said. Many ways to trade successfully and many more ways to make something simple complicated.

Most do. Practice will give you the ability to rely on less visual stimulus (fewer indicators) for making good trading decisions.

thank you for spending time to test it out. After remove the EA on and off the chart, it's back to normal.

I found out this EA is unable to move the SL to BE when it reaches certain number of pips?
Ok, found the answer already, it's here: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...22#post7349022

I had searched the paperclip regarding an EA that enables SL to BE posted by omonisha, Quick_trailing but to no avail alphabetically, maybe uploader is using special character in front of the file, will scan through again.

Thanks again.

{quote} If we back-test and I have been doing a lot of this you will see pattern emerging like Big E said at certain times of the day if we get a good set-up with momentum price will likely continue in that direction! The key is practicing and gaining confidence... I always say to people that are struggling the trading is like driving a car... people can tell you how to drive, people can show u how to drive, you can read millions of book telling you how to drive... but once you get in the car and do as they have said, can you drive???...

Big E was right on these ratios
Since my recent account with exness i have taken 185 trades using TMS out of which 104 were winners. Hence giving me 72.3% winning ratio. Risking 2 percent per trade.
For the people still struggling there is still hope and every one can get this ratio following the simple rules laid out by Big E plus some basic fx stuff like watching for
1.support resistance , 2.trend, 3.momentum, 4.candle formation, 5.timing.
It just takes two mins to draw two lines at nearby support and resistance in the morning.
Zoom out the chart and see the trend and make a note in which direction you want to trade.
For timing trade london session.
For momentum look at the candle size.
For candle formation just look for 3 main formations ONLY at S/R levels.
1. Pin bar
2. Engulfing bar
3. Master candle setup taught by Emannuel.
Just do this and you will be amazed by the difference in results. Is that any difficult? It Just takes 5 mins watching all that.

{quote} Great post, and exactly how I have felt about the closing out a trade within 2-4 candles. Perhaps in the future we will be able to develop the sense of certainty and calm Zoopots has when in his longer term trades. But the certainty of knowing your trading in London, with the highest liquidity, largest moves (generally) and also knowing your only going for the next few candles adds up to a sense of confidence in the trades that was lacking for me in the longer term trades. toffy

Zoopots have a lot of patience and no itchy finger which most of us dont have

So we can continue by the rules laid by BIG E.

Happy pips to you friend.

Ok, had some trades today, trying different timeframes and searching what is best for me. One daily trade is still in work (USD/CAD), but i made a simple mistake there - ignored strong daily resistance. But i think everything will be ok, will see at the end of the day.

H1 Chart: NZD/USD: +4 pips
M15 Chart: EUR/JPY: +7 pips

I know, that such small profits may seem not serious, but i just learning - it's a first day trading TMS system after styding it for some time. It's pretty hard for me to trade it H1 (my most preffered timeframe), because i don't know how to filter signals yet.

I have never seen this error before. Try the same EA and set file on demo account of any other broker. If it runs fine there then there maybe some problem with your broker software. Call their helpline and ask for solution.
MAybe anyone else could help you on this.

Can you check and replicate your common inputs with this one?

I am currently trading A/J, E/j, E/A, G/A, G/j, C/J , Gold, Oil

One more thing I like to add is just pick and manage your trade in the same time frame, For example if you have spot a trade in H4 and go to H1 to know what's happening there and you will see a different scenario there which will create a mess in your head. Plus each time frame has its own trend for example daily maybe in up trend but h4 at the same time may shows a down trend. So trade within one time frame that will release you from a lot of stress.

Keep it simple See a trade=Place a trade
