{quote} I'm checking USD-PLN as a proxy to see how much of this USD strenght comes from Ukraine and its a lot. It also gapped, which makes me believe this has more to do with Ukraine than Draghi, if it was just Draghi i would be buying right now. http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/USDPLN:CUR

Jeremy is right Ukraine is peanuts
Everything to do with fundamentals.Besides why would you say "nothing" ...for someone new to FF perhaps to trading one can never know the huge gulf that exist in "knowing" and not "knowing"
Its not like you had a phone conversation with Draghi and he assured you he will not take action
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

no you are right... the Goldman sachs weekly FX open note citing Draghi as the reason is completely wrong and you are entirely right.

Also, take note of USDJPY (if it was ukraine we'd be under 101 by now you fucknut)

And here we have someone who doesn't even understand risk in the markets (US 10's barely changed, USDJPY unch) claiming that Goldman Sachs - one of the most successful and respected banks - is completely wrong.

And just like that he has lost any shred of respect that he could have, and I hope I speak for the community in suggesting he fucks right off and stop trolling this forum.

I don't think Draghi comments have enough power to gap EURUSD lower like this. What about Ukraine conflict spreading away from Crimea? Rome anti-austerity protests? Ukraine doesnt look good at all! Some report that 'In Ukraine a growing frustration with inability of Kyiv govt to take control over the country. Ppl channel their rage through social media' If this goes beyond Crimea it changes a lot of things.

We were at Strategic Technical Level....we rose too quickly back too 139 not forming support on daily chart in the upward move then Draghi's speech was the tipping of the iceberg and people are targeting 136/13550 as 3rd wave on daily chart.

also we made a lower high on the weekly chart, despite it going up quickly on daily chart and aggressive it still formed a lower high, if forms lower high then people are going to look to short.

Also previous month formed a reversal on monthly, so we were filling the monthly candle as much as we can before turning lower. but I think everyones opinion will be fundamentals moved it, gapped but it was trapped at Technical level and that's part of the reason as well we needed to gap one way or the other in my opinion

Keeping close watch on EurAud carry trade for a possible 600 pip short that might be in the charts.
If that happens I'll take a big slice.
