We have G20 meeting summing up this weekend. No rollover trades over this weekend.

Some exotic pairs being mentioned today. Out of bounds to me due to ludicrous spreads. OK if you hit an H4 home run I guess, but can knock the account a bit if you get a few wrong!

Not that I prefer, but the little exposure I have with English is mostly with US accent And a bit Queen's English I guess, that's what my English teacher spoke, she was from Liverpool.

I missed type my pair btw, not CADCHF but CHFJPY, apology. PA wise, probably not a good place to long. It went right into resistance.

NZDUSD looked good on H1 chart. Its done its Daily range now though. Can it do more?

Did a little backstudy of H4 USDCHF for 2014. Please spend time studying the Excel spreadsheet below and let me know if you see something I may not. The purpose was to see what the impact would be of HA candles that show "no tail". Nothing at all is altered from the thread H4 criteria as there have been complaints about that. Here are the assumptions I made that qualified a signal to be listed:

1. TDI cross just like Eelfranz described from Post 1 on...nothing altered.
2. Only HA H4 candles with "no tail" would be honored. (In data window HA_0=HA_Open)
3. If #2 satisfied, only took trade on the 1st or 2nd HA candle.
4. Stayed in position until contrarian PAC close or TDI hook as described by Eelfranz.
5. Entries taken even if "no tail" HA was inside the PAC.

I suspect other pairs would show similar results. Maybe someone could do the same study on one of your favorite pairs.

Observations:

1. The majority of entry signals occurred during the 1200 candle close (FXDD time)...European session
2. A "no tail" HA entry that also closes beyond the PAC gives especially nice results...you'll have to pick your own R/R. Four of the seven entries that did not close beyond the PAC still gave R/R of 1/1 using a 30 pip S/L. You can do the math.
3. Though a 3 1/2 month analysis is far from exhaustive, using the above criteria with a 50 pip S/L yields the best results. I suspect there will be those who complain that 1000 pips in that time period may not be enough. It amounts to 15 pips a day........

A pity, I too noticed Bizzzle and GilR often mention some "unconventional" pairs. On the bright side, though, I usually keep USDZAR opened... there is something about 100 pips spread that always makes me smile

Nothing for me, I'm pretty much done for today. NZDJPY, NZDUSD and NZDCAD seemed to have some momentum, but none broke the 5MA on setup candle and 2 of them were counter-trend so I passed.

1200 HA close FXDD time is 10am London (winter), so the second candle of the 3 eelfranz traded?
Huge thanks for sharing, very in-depth study! PAC and eelfranz's 5MA seem a bit different in my experience, PAC being way more conservative, but probably more reliable. The results (and the analysis itself ) are nonetheless impressive! Could you share the spreadsheet, please?

Your EA looks fun emmanuel. I'll get it setup on my FXDD demo next week.

I had seen the TMS EA thread but thought it was dead. Thanks for reviving it.

I took AU long.

The reason was that, at the yellow candle, price made a sharp drop during 15 minutes before Chinese news hit this morning. Once the news was released... nothing happened. Price did not fall any further as you can see on the following candle. The story I'm getting is that it was either buyers taking profit, or sellers guessing the news wrongly. So maybe, just maybe, the up trend will resume.

took this trade H4 at 10am. took some off and stop moved to - 30 pips. If stop taken out, then it's a b/e trade

...not my EA but by member sellers9. He is a highly skilled MT4 developer.

I use the same MPTM and modified to my own preferences.

that has been my fun for 3+ years.

you can use that TMS_V19 MTF to executre trades or simply for setup alerts. options to trade or alert is there.
