All right then! I just tuned out the IXO's on the CAD7 4h. One thing, the CAD basket is not as smooth as the JPY7, but it is good enough to get some good pips. I have the IXO1 @ 260 and the IXO2 @ 460. Since 3/18/14 came up with 5 trades, two of which during a range (+15 and -54), the other three +553, +129, and +445 (which is still current). That is a total of 1,088 positive pips. Seller if we can tweak the basket creator ea then we could create the most strongest possible basket at that moment of time and trade it till the end of the trend, then go find another one. I say this because when I was using the 610 v a few weeks ago it was acting weird. It was giving me a set of strong pairs and when I loaded them into the basket, applies the EA it would show some of them going the opposite direction. I hope that makes sense. I'll look at it again and see if that is still the case. As for the JPY7, I think I will make that my mainstay, it seems the do the best during the ranging and not effected to much by news.

Yeah man, that last post was just showing the adjustment of the IXO's to mpillmann of what he was already into with the CAD7. Talked about a few post ago. I'm still in the JPY7, up around 350 pips. I'm riding this wave to the IXO2. I will post screen shots when it closes.

I would like to open a long basket, but can only reverse 2 pairs AFAIK.

Is it possible to reverse more or all pairs ?

no, only 2 pairs can be reversed.

I don't, however, see a need to reverse anything in JPY basket, since all pairs are in sync. In NZD or USD baskets, on the other hand, 3rd reversal is highly needed.

Roger,

you will see that JPY behavior as long as Japan Government will keep on its monetary policy.
sooner or later it will come to an end
and we will search for another one !

maybe NZD and AUSSIE will be the next
I always keep an eye on USD.

#1. The indicators are lagging.. they follow price. whatever changes happen will be reflected in the indicators.


#2. I've cross referenced these settings to 1 year of data against the JPY crosses, and they still reflect price action the same way as they do now. after a year of changes in the economy of many different country's the indicators have worked just fine. what makes you think the monetary policy we have now is going to be different from the monetary policy in the past year ?

I was just looking at page one to down load another copy of the BT CS EA and noticed version 21 was titled for MT4 Build 625, but the file inside the zip was for build 610, is it a typo???? Thanks

speaking of monetary policy, shouldn't printing of money be weakening that currency ? instead the JPY is strong right now. and will be for a while

No, that means it needs at least build 610 or greater to work, nothing less than 610 will work.

Sorry i'm just viewing my VPS thru my phone as i'm still in the office. Will post once i get home in a few hours. I was refering to ixo1 and 2 going crossing green if it continues till candle closes both in green. my settings are 660 900 respectively.

a thought...

will baskets conform to trend lines or S/R in a combined offline chart like regular pairs?

surely a cluster of pairs cant all obey the trend or S/R lines

im placing trend lines on my basket chart and pondered it....

No reason to get nervoes.

This screenshot just shows my reentry from yesterday, after adjusting my position sizes in both baskets. So with the original entry, it would still be in profits.

Anyway, the jpy pairs in the basket started to move an hour ago and they compare the gbp. I'll stay in.
The jpy basket goes to new south levels too. And together its a holy lot of profits.
