This is again a great example for a LONG signal. But I'm afraid that the price is quite high. I would entered sooner or wait for the price to go down a bit!

As you can see on your charts, we have now a LONG signal for eur/usd @ 1.2751.

Hi Sidus !

First of all thank you for sharing your "simple" system with us

If checked it in my Oanda Live Account and have made some pips

I often make the observation, that the 5 and 8 WMA's are crossing
the 18 and 23 EMA's before the EMA's getting nearer and cross each
other.

Can I than use this crossing signal for an entry ?

I'm exiting the trade when the 5 WMA crosses the 8 WMA and vice versa.

What about using the system in the shorter time frames ( 5 M / 15 M ) ?

I'm eager to see the updated version of your system

You can use the technique that you describe, but you will get more wrong signals. So I advice you not to. The same is true for using 5M/15M, it will generate more wrong signals.
30M is good for small profits!

On your chart : Right Click : Properties: Colors : Background (change to White)/Foreground (change to a dark color)

Also, you should save a copy of each chart/trade: File - Save as Picture

I'm just trying to push you to the next level. Don't take it as an attack. but I repeat, Sidus, why does your system work? It's not sufficient to say "well, when this line crosses this line, price goes up or down accordingly." What causes that relationship to exist?

It's kind of like somebody asking you where a car gets its power and you say, "well, when I put my foot on the gas, the car moves." Of course, most cars move because of tiny explosions inside of the engine which push pistons and generate motion energy which the car ultimately transfers through the transmission to the drivetrain and finally the tires. And it's much more complicated than that in reality if you get into the physics and engineering of it. A system is no different.

Hi sidus.
First, thank you for your system.It's very inspirative.Perhaps you will be dissapointed or not, but I modifiacted it. I use just EMA 18 and second EMA I changed to 33.That's because sometimes on M30 zuor system generate false signals.Even it shiould be strong signal.Taht is the reason of my modification.Now it generate less signals.But there is much less false signals.So now it's almost perfect.One more time thank you for zour system and motivation. Thanks for your method.
In order to maintain the accuracy of your method which works best as designed for H1 (60 min.) and use the BGX line generating program that authomaticaly install the cross levels ,the filters levels etc.I and the features of many others systems operating only on M30,I had to convert your set-up data as follow.
EMA 28 doubled to 56
EMA 18 to 36
LWMA 8 to 16
LWMA 5 to 10
RSI 14 to 28
I also added EMA 100
Now everything workes like a charm using only one chart (M30).
Maybe this will help others who like to combine many systems/methods unto one screen.

Hi Rojam, at the first read of your idea of doubling up,I thought "what a good idea",however I just gave it a go, and it seems that the entry points and exits reduce profits immensly. Overall I found that "plan A" is still very much a winner ,but I sure do enjoy the brainstrust on this forum.

I am new at this and am doing a demo account. I am doing what Situs said about putting an 18 ema and a 28 ema on the charts. When I go and do this I only have one line. There is a place on the ema where it says: open close low high. Do I select one of these when I am doing this.

Forgive me of my ignorance.

First of all don't apologise, most of us knew little or nothing when we first arrived here (some of us still don't know much )
What software are you using, you'll get a quicker answer if you let us know that in future. Most of the guys (and gals) here use MT4 but there are lots of other programs covered. Setting up MAs is more or less the same in most programs but there may be small differences from platform to platform.

The main objective was to duplicate the positions of the moving averages from H1 to M30.This way the intersection points levels are now on H1 to the same levels on M30.
I have implemented many forex strategies and found that many use M30 as their favourite period .I also downloaded templates to install on Metatrader4
but a lot of them do not work when you toggle from a higher time frame down to M30.I still have a favorite set-up grouping SiDuS D1/H4/H1/M30/M15/M5 and even M1 to analyse price action.
I swing trade mostly using M30 modified to include bits and pieces from about 8 systems to give me what I need on that one chart.
I then enter pending on-stop orders many times in both directions,always with stop loss and sometimes ..take profit points.If the above is not clear, let me know.

I guess I'm guilty of not leaving well enough alone. I thought waiting for the .EMA's to cross puts one in the trade a bit late. I tried a method put in my head by using the Vegas method and made all the numbers Fib numbers, only changing the EMA'sto 13 and 21. Seems to give an earlier entry signal, Have only played with it for 30 minutes now, but love the Simplicity of the method. Pips to you Sidus !

If you set the Parabolic SAR to 0.05 and 0.09 then you will see that it too will follow this same triggers for trades that the Sidus method does. With the SAR it is a lot less complicated to view and determine entry/exit since no there is no crossing of lines etc... the SAR captures the same trends basically each time and I assume that it is because all of these indicators are a variation of the moving average construct anyhow which is why they all lag.
