Today morning the robot has taken some profits from yesterday evenings entrys (CET).

JPY7 M15 - closed at +87 pips, take profit reached.

James, thanks for posting the vid, there is lots of valuable information here. I didn't realize there were so many skilled traders around here. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the webinar yesterday, that was awesome


I'd love to learn more about how you and Alf are trading the breakouts, as well as Alf's daily strategy's more.. he broke up at the end of the session so i couldn't get all the details

Guys, When I take the screen and do a presentation, my internet can not handle the load sometimes, the problems from this are, a lag of maybe 5 to 15 seconds between what im saying and the image on the screen, and at times the audio breaks up and or echo starts.
So there needs to be a little patience when im showing my system, both from you and myself.
The info shared by our members is astounding at times, and this is why the room has run for 5 years.
Thanks Jimmy for posting the video, I know that you are time poor.

I was not at the last meeting, but I did listen afterwards on youtube. I am leaning towards your model of trading as far as tf's. I like the the 4hr and daily. You get a much bigger picture and less noise. There was a lot I could have offered, one the locking up problem, there are a few things that cause it. I had the same problem and trouble shot my way out of it. Someone at the meeting hit one of the issues but did not bring it home, that is to much data on one cpu, or on a single MT4 platform. I fixed my freezing buy using multiple cpu's and with my desk top I run one MT4 off the c drive and one off an external drive. Problem gone. The other problem I have found is to many charts open on any one MT4 platform with having the same data, i.e. same pairs being traded in multiple charts. As the one guy said, to much data the MT4 platform and the EA cannot handle it. I'm just saying this is what I have come to find out. I only have one or two charts open per cpu at a time and never have anymore freezing.

Hey Alf,
I am really interested in hearing more about your daily strategy. I was kind of disappointed that you got cut out at the last meeting. I am set up with a long day basket and a short one. Used the BT_CS EA along with manually looking at the best out of ten for each to ensure I have just the pairs that are trending in the desired direction. So I have two pretty strong baskets going in their respectful directions. What is your entry and exits? Manual or robot? and what about your exits? I am set up with HAS D entry only, with TP of $50, SL $150, and HAS X for my exits. I back tested and going back 21 days no SL, and picked up go pips. With a TP of $50 I'd get out and get back in on the next candle and go until the trend is over, or hit the HAS X exit. Only trade long on the long basket and short on the short. I have always traded with what I call a hit and run strategy, kind of what Jim does, as I understood as per his presentation at the last meeting. I am eager to receive any feed back and hear about your strategy. Thanks Mate! By the way I spent some time down under when I was in the US Navy, Brisbane and Townsend. Love Australia!

I like the idea Don gave, when he suggested the EA should have an option on screen to tick which pairs in your basket should go long or short

That's a good idea but the problem with it is once you start buying and selling in the same basket the chart is no longer of any use, because it reflects all the pairs being either bought or sold.

Now if we could find a way to create a mixed offline chart it may then work, but then of course every time you clicked on a pair on the screen and either bought or sold it the chart would have to updated to reflect this change and this would drive the EA crazy as it would now have to change the TP, SL and other settings to reflect the new chart.

I am planning on attending todays Gotomeeting by Jim if there is one, so if there are any questions on just how the EA works I will try and answer them, at times I wonder if I even know how it works as it fools me sometimes, 99% of the time the EA is correct and I am wrong.

I don't have all the answers and at times the EA even catches me in one of my dumb moves, the EA does just what it is told to do, don't you all wish your kids were like that.

Jim has done a great job of putting these meetings together and it looks like I have missed out on some very good information that has been available at the meetings, I do plan on attending as many as I can in the future if Jim continues to invite anyone who is interested.

So I expect to hear from all of you at the meeting.

I have made a few minor fixes and changes to version 21 which will need testing this week, nothing earth shaking.

One thing I thought I might add are 5 trade zones where you can select from 1 to 5 different time frames that you would let the robot trade in. You would be able to select your own start and stop times for the robot to take trades.
Let me know if you think this would be of any use for you, I can show how it would work in todays meeting if anyone is interested and there is time.

I know some are trying to use the robot for single pair trading, even though it is designed for basket trading and have had a few bugs pop up. Since this is a basket trading EA I don't spend any time testing it for single pair trading, but for those who have found a few I will fix them if they don't interfere with the true idea behind the creation of this robot, "Basket Trading". There are still a couple in version 20 concerning the TP, SL settings and I have made a few changes that should help that in version 21 which hasn't been posted yet, probably another week as I want everyone to give version 20 more time in the world to see if it is OK.

Thanks for the kind words sir...To tell everyone in this thread about our room...The reason that I am saying this now is, I don't want to repeat this in the room and take up time. I began trading Forex about 6 years ago. As many of us have done, we bought EA robots that trade for us. I bought a robot which claims to have a no loss record. It was the Steinitz robot, the reason it never had a loss, it would have long open trades. So i was frustrated with the robot and posted an email in the Steinitz forum. At that time, GOTO Meeting was in its infancy and i began the MDTR (Million Dollar Trading Room) on goto meetings..The original members, Myself, Tom, Dan, Don, Kenny, Mike and Alf began the room and we had about 16 members. Through out the years Tom, Dan, Don, Alf and i have stuck together. We are the best of friends and we have never met. We meet 5 days a week, Sun-Thurs between the hours of 7pm to whenever. We have done this for about 6 years.

We have discussed many templates, created many many templates and systems. The one thing that I can say is this, I have great friends who have helped me and we have helped each other. Without getting into to much personal detail about Tom, he has done things for the room and has used some of his personal finances to help the room progress. Without his leadership and knowledge of business, I would not be here typing this email. THANK YOU TOM FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, YOU HAVE GIVEN US HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT. We all make decisions about who can join. We do not like drama and you will be booted quick if you come in and start trouble. Our latest member, Hugh is very knowledgeable in computers and helped us out. If you wish to join us, just let us know. You don't have to be on every night. We do take breaks from the room during Christmas and some summers when the big boys at the bank go on holiday. We also have Alf who we luv dearly who may get on a rant or so. We call it the DOOM and GLOOM hour where Alf talks about the end of trading and the world. Just kidding Alf, we luv ya bud..

In conclusion, I can say this proudly. I have 5 brothers in the room and who take their time to teach me new things about trading and I would not give up being a member of this room. I am so proud of each and every one of them. Thank you guys...

Thanks for the information about the room and how it got started and the traders who are long time members. I hope I didn't step on any toes when I posted the last message inviting people to join the GoToMeeting, I don't want you to think I am trying to impose with my EA, as there are, I am sure, many other trading ideas your group has talked about over the years and this could be just another one passing in the night.

Like you, I also bought several of those Robots that had a pristine trading example of how they would make you rich over night, none of them worked out. That is why I give the EAs I make away for free, if anyone likes it they can have it, if not just throw it away and move on to the next holy grail, also I don't have to support it if I decide not to as I am in no way obligated to do so as it was free.

Keep up the good work and as always, everyones input is always welcome.

All i can say so far in my testing is this:

1)Instruments matter, the picture of intrument's behaviour is the main factor.
2)Timeframes matter, one instrument can have a totally different movement picture on different TFs. One can be used and the other one can't
3)Settings matter. You don't always have to use 2 XO's, sometimes even don't use them at all.
4)Digging in a directon of creating as smooth as possible baskets should be prioritiezed.
